Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa Kurimski
Alexa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been a digital creator on Instagram and TikTok for about 2 years now, and I specialize in fashion and beauty content. I’ve always been interested in social media! In 2023 I started posting more to my page, and in 2024 I really started taking the job more seriously. I’ve gotten so many amazing opportunities to work with my favorite brands, and I continue to grow and get better with every piece of content I make!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve dealt with many struggles throughout my creator journey, especially with self esteem and comparison. There are so many amazing creators out there, but it can feel overwhelming when starting out and I often would compare myself to others and become upset with myself if I wasn’t doing as well as them. I’ve tried to step back in these situations and remind myself that it is not a competition, and every creator is going to be unique and bring something special to the table.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a content creator on Instagram and TikTok (and soon to be YouTube) and I specialize in fashion and beauty content. I’d love to branch out more into home and wellness content too, so I’m doing my best to gain more experience in these niches. I’m definitely most proud of my dedication to this job – it is not easy, and balancing this with a full time job has made for a lot of late nights and early mornings!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
I would say to definitely take things slow, and don’t feel like you need to be an expert on everything right off the bat! Just start posting, and the more you do, the better you’ll get at editing and putting together content. I also want to emphasize connecting with fellow creators and not being afraid to reach out with questions!
