Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Adams
Hi Alexis, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
K’Dria Events is an event decorating and treat-making business that I started in college during COVID-19. I created this business to help make my client’s dream events come to life. K’Dria Events was inspired by seeing family members making our family events special with little to nothing, and now we have endless possibilities to make events however we want them to be. I started this business because it was something about seeing all your family and friends come to celebrate your big moments in life. With me recently moving from Chicago to Fort Worth, I know that it’s going to take a lot of networking and rebranding to get my business back up and running in this new city. Now that I’m here this is a great opportunity to start fresh and see where this journey takes me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been both smooth and rocky, and I only say that because when having any business there are trials and tribulations that you have to go through, but the biggest one would have to be having a great support system. A lot of people especially family want things to be free or they want discounts all the time. And having a business and making sure that it thrives, you can’t always do that. The smooth part comes from just doing what you love and seeing a smile on the faces of the clients who appreciate your hard work and time.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in custom work, balloon work, and chocolate-covered treat-making. I’m most proud of my elevation and devotion to learning new things. I think what sets me apart is that I like to make everything tailored to the client and what they want from start to finish.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being at peace makes me happy. I say that because without peace, I would be all over the place all the time. Taking the time to think about things while also relaxing and unwinding is the happiest thing in the world for me. Also having someone to share that peace with is something that makes me happy. Without my fiancé, I honestly don’t know where I would be or what I would be doing. Without his support and motivation, I would honestly be lost. I appreciate everything that he does to be there for me at all times no matter the circumstances.
