Daily Inspiration: Meet Amber Reed

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Reed

Hi Amber, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my business in 2018 after the birth of my son. I wanted to stay at home with him but make a little extra income as well. In the beginning I was selling hand painted signs. I later added vinyl decals. In 2021 after the birth of my daughter I really started to grow my business. I purchased a laser cutting machine at the beginning of 2022 and that has given me the ability to make customized wood and acrylic items. Everybody loves items that have their name or their family name.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. It has taken time to get my name out there and build my business. Most of my business is from Etsy right now and it took time to learn how to get the traffic on Etsy. It’s definitely not an overnight process. It takes a lot of patience and perseverance. I am always creating new items, because what’s popular today may not be popular next year. I’m always trying to stay ahead of the trends. It’s a lot of work but seeing customers happy when they receive their items is so rewarding!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create wood and acrylic laser cut items. Most of my items can be personalized which makes them very popular for gifts. I work hard to provide great customer service and customize items as much as possible for customers. I enjoy working with customers to design exactly what they want.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t think luck has really played a role in my life or business. I believe I have been blessed with many good things.
