Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley & Cory Rhodes.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are Ashley and Cory Rhodes, the owners of Liberation Drip, a custom design, print, and press company. (Cory) I remember coming home from work, and my wife and I would always talk about being entrepreneurs, starting our own business, something to leave behind for our loved ones. So, we came up with a few different ideas over the years and chose to start a custom design, print, vinyl, and press company that so far has worked for us. We got started in 2021. (Ashley) I’ve always loved crafting and making things for our family, so that made me even more invested because I wanted to do something that I loved while also providing an additional income. The best feeling is being able to create as soon as I come up with a new design or idea. Art is a part of everyday life from music to fashion, and we are inspired as a company to keep providing our art. We still aren’t where we want to be, but every day we continue to improve and reach new goals. We are looking forward to adding even more services to our catalog in the near future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been smooth for the most part because we knew what we wanted to do, and we also have friends who work in the same field. Having people in our circle that do what we do helps us when we run into problems and vice-versa; people see what we do and ask questions or adapt our new ideas. The more we practice and try new things it helps us come up with more time-efficient and cost-effective ways to produce merchandise. The main obstacle for us is maintaining the machines we use and keeping pricing affordable while supplies steadily rise with inflation. Even though we get most of our clients from word of mouth, another obstacle is trying to be relevant in the social media scene. You know, trying to create content so that we can gain more followers and get our company out there online so that we can reach the people we can’t reach in person.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Here at Liberation Drip, we create custom designs, mock-ups, and logos for clients’ use in their companies or for personal use. However, we are known for custom and freestyle designs on t-shirts. We put designs on items such as clothing, jewelry, picture frames, glassware, shoes, car seats, bags, labels, cards, etc. Liberation Drip provides items for business merch needs, family reunions, birthdays, concerts, funerals, memorials, weddings, teacher appreciation week, holidays, and custom gifts. It doesn’t matter how intricate an idea may be; we love to work hard and produce something our clients fall in love with. If you can think it up or have a special occasion, we can do it! We specialize in vinyl, iron-on, and sublimation. As a company, we pride ourselves in our quality and customer service. Every item we make is 100% handmade with love and care because we know what it’s like to go to the store and not be satisfied with the quality and or customer service. We always want our customers to be satisfied and come back for more every time.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
(Cory) I remember coming home on Fridays after school, and it was my parents’ payday. A lot of times, we would go out to eat, rent a movie, go back home, and watch it; that’s my favorite childhood memory. (Ashley) My favorite childhood memory is when I would get really stressed or haven’t had any alone time with my mom. She would plan a day of us going out and enjoying each other’s company. Those days meant the most to me and now serve as memories to hold onto her and continue with our family.
