Daily Inspiration: Meet Brianna Lewis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Lewis.

Hi Brianna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My photography journey began in high school when I took a photojournalism class. I was told I had an “eye” for photography, but I didn’t give it much thought until I was deciding what to study in college. My dad encouraged me to try Creative Media Industries, and that’s when I truly began to learn about photography, and fell in love with it. I never imagined that 8 years later I’d be photographing weddings, but here we are! From the very beginning, I’ve built my business with God at the center, and He has blessed me abundantly through it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t think owning a business is ever completely “smooth.” There are always challenges, whether it’s managing the back end, taxes (ugh), or keeping up with ever-changing social media trends.

Personally, one of my biggest challenges when I started was my social anxiety. Leading up to photoshoots, I would pray for guidance on what to say to clients and even rehearse to help spark conversation. Over time, meeting so many wonderful people through my work has helped me grow into a more confident and outgoing person. Today, many clients tell me they feel completely at ease during their photoshoots, which is such a meaningful compliment, especially when I reflect on where I started.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I photograph a variety of things, but my true passion is capturing love. Weddings, engagement sessions, couples’ portraits, and proposals. I love documenting the unique story between two people and creating images that tell their story in a meaningful, timeless way. What sets me apart from others is my focus on storytelling. I don’t just take photos, I capture moments that reflect real emotion, connection, and personality. I’m most proud that my work allows couples to relive their most special memories, long after the day has passed.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is spending time at my grandparents’ ranch in the Texas Hill Country. I remember the excitement of running through the pastures with the cows, riding horses for the first time, and collecting eggs from the hen house each morning. I’m so grateful for the photos my dad took during those times. They help me relive those memories even today. That’s exactly what I aim to do in my photography. Capture moments so couples can look back years later and feel like they’re reliving their day all over again.
