Daily Inspiration: Meet Britney Robinson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britney Robinson

Hi Britney, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with natural hair started with myself—I learned to love and care for my own hair first. In 2015, I began doing friends and family natural hair, which deepened my passion for working with different textures and helping others embrace their natural beauty.

After stepping away for a couple of years, I found my way back through my niece. I started taking care of her hair using what I had access to, experimenting through trial and error to find what truly worked. That process sparked a deeper curiosity about natural hair care. As I paid closer attention to ingredients, I realized how many commercial products contained unnecessary chemicals. That’s when I started researching and gaining knowledge on at home remedies for hair using herbs and natural oils.

Working at a natural hair salon that used handcrafted, all-natural products only fueled my passion further. I immersed myself in studying herbs, holistic health, and the science behind hair care.

Now, in my own salon suite, Ruhea Hair, I’ve created a sacred space where beauty and well-being intertwine. Every product I use is something I’ve made with love and intention, combining my knowledge of herbalism with my passion for natural hair. My goal is to give every client more than just a hair appointment, I want them to leave feeling uplifted in mind, body, and spirit.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. I often battled with myself, not because I didn’t love what I do, but because I questioned if I was truly capable. Was I passionate enough? Was I efficient enough? There were moments of doubt, times when I gained and times when I lost. But through it all, I remained true to myself and constantly reminded myself why I do what I do and that is hold space, create and nurture.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an artist, poet, hairstylist, herbalist, and student, each of these identities weaves into my work, making Ruhea Hair more than just a business; it’s a reflection of my passion for beauty, healing, and self-expression.

I specialize in natural hair care, using handcrafted herbal-infused products that I’ve carefully formulated with intention, love, and deep knowledge of holistic wellness. My work extends beyond styling hair, I create a sacred space where clients not only receive hair care but also experience a sense of renewal, both physically and spiritually.

What sets me apart is my holistic approach. I see hair as more than just an aesthetic feature, it’s a crown, a sacred extension of self that carries energy and reflects one’s inner well-being. I combine my background in herbalism and studies with my artistry to create a truly unique experience. Every oil, every touch, and every interaction is intentional, designed to uplift, nurture, and restore.

I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve built this space from the ground up, staying true to my vision and purpose. Seeing my clients leave feeling empowered, beautiful, and reconnected with themselves is the greatest reward.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I’d say intentionality is the most important quality behind my success. Everything I do, whether it’s making herbal-infused products, styling hair, creating herbal-infused products, writing poetry, or creating an art piece, it is done with deep purpose and care. I believe that when you move with intention, aligning your work with your passion and values, success follows naturally.

Also, Authenticity and resilience. There have been challenges, moments of doubt, and times when I had to pause and realign. I’ve remained committed to my vision, constantly learning, evolving, and trusting the process.
