Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryce-Brocque Johnson
Hi Bryce, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Odessa, Texas. Grew up loving sports and whatever I put my mind to such as drawing, making music, playing a variety of instruments, cutting hair, photography etc. I studied mechanical engineering during school being an 3.0 5 star athlete since pop warner up until highschool where I graduated at Permian High School. I lost my scholarship offers from Tulsa (Mechanical Engineering), Texas Tech/Baylor/some other smaller colleges (Football/Track) due to an ACL and flipped meniscus the beginning of my high school senior year where I still ran track with an torn ACL and flipped meniscus through the whole year making it to 6A-Regionals running the 100M Dash and Anchor Leg for the 4×100 and 4×200. After high school I attended barber college only for my license but soon left from scandalous activities but before that I was already an upcoming Tiktok Creator that grew to 350k+ supporters. The reason I started creating on tiktok I seen my little cousin and her sister dancing in the kitchen having fun during the pandemic and sadly but glady I decided to make my own account that I did not think would get the recognition to where it had got. I lost that account after 2 years of working hard on it. Then I soon started a new account 2 years and 3 jobs later where I also have gained a larger amount of supporters via Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, and Youtube. After getting into a major wreck to which lead me to going full throttle into making content and building (lilplayaplaya) as a brand. Which brought to move myself and family from West Texas to DFW to exceed in my acting career and also build my influence with being an entrepreneur, model, brand ambassador, and content creator. After moving around the cities I have received nothing but love every day that I step out I receive recognition and support from multiple people that love and enjoy what I do for my career now which humbles me and only motivates me more to keep going harder for my wife, kids, myself and family.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles I had was being overwhelmed with being away from my home with my family working 16 hour shifts in the oil field.
Living check to check up until the point I had to get a loan on top of the latest check just to make rent.
Getting in a wreck and losing my oil field job where i decided that I would put all focus towards being a content creator.
Getting forced to move out of my grandmothers moving into an apartment with my girlfriend now wife that we only talk to each other for 2 months before moving into our first living space together now of 5 years and 3 kids.
Applying for 15+20 jobs after moving into our apartment once I realized the job i was at before was no good getting only 2-6 hours for 2 weeks being a roustabout having no funds for 3 months that i could provide myself to my family of 4 at the time.
No income showing for the longest time giving discouragement to my actions and my drive from seeing high number with no pay.
Stressing at a young age trying to live too fast instead of in the moment.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Im a content creator that makes funny skits. Mainly very relatable skits dealing with relationships or whatever actions could be funny. My looks catch an eye fast. Im proud of the motivation and my drive that i receive from family that’s allowed me to actually be living in what i was stressing and praying for which is being a full time creator/actor/ambassador/model who can walk out and receive notoriety from all the hard work that Ive put in and also the new business and work I receive from companies and directors of movies/shows.
What sets me apart from others is I’m loved from being me on and off camera. Im very genuine and nonchalant. Being a content creator has gotten me out of my shell a bit from being shy and somewhat more talkative around people but besides that Im just me and a very very talented individual!
How do you define success?
I define success as achieving the goals you want to get done but success has no end. Once you succeed in something you should keep going and not stop whether it gets easier or harder there’s no limit to success only growth so in reality you should never want to succeed in something you want to reach the goals and surpass them and to keep going because the marathon continues and theres more stuff to learn and to get done. But being successful, is having no worry at all from any want or needs in life!
