Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Auzenne.
Hi Cameron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a former collegiate soccer player who majored in Kinesiology. Started off coaching club soccer and high school soccer in Indiana and Louisiana.
During the time I was still trying to play professionally and was trying to start a career in Strength and Conditioning. Was kind of at a stand still with my life. Then decided to move to Dallas.
Where I got hired at a local D1. From there just kind of picked up and I was like they don’t have a lot of strength coaches that really represent soccer so I was like I’m going to be that guy.
From there I was the guy for soccer kids to get faster, stronger, and more confident. Then I started dipping into working with older adults and helping them get stronger but moving better helping fix back stiffness and bad hips. To managing and building confidence in them as well.
I’m a Swiss Army knife, constantly looking to know a little of everything but my main thing is helping soccer athletes.
Which led me to leaving D1. So that I can provide more opportunities that are accessible for the younger population with small groups but also for my adults that need 1 on 1 training!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Challenges I faced during my time at D1 has been sacrificing time and money for knowledge. To be as good as I am comes with a lot of sacrifice of time. We won’t get it back so have to cherish it.
Other challengers for me have been adapting to different sports and athlete needs m. Everybody isn’t cookie cutter so investing in the time and effort to plan and make sure each athletes or adults needs are met!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a strength and conditioning coach. I specialize in athletic performance and functional training and wellness for adults.
I’m known for getting kids faster and confident.
In the soccer world I’m known for my details and attention to the game and transferring it simply to the players.
My resume with the athletes I’ve worked with shows!
What sets me apart is my consistency and my patience to achieving our goals through structure and details. You just gotta show up everyday the rest will take care of itself.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Breaking the front porch of my house from training everyday in the front yard. Driving my parents insane.
Then winning a conference championship with my Alma mater and making it to the sweet 16.
