Hi Chelsea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my spray tan business because I’ve always loved how a spray tan boosts my confidence, and I wanted to help other women feel that same glow. I’m passionate about the beauty industry, especially when it comes to women’s empowerment, and I see my role as more than just providing a service—I’m a true hype woman! Making women look and feel gorgeous in their own skin is what drives me.
There’s nothing like the feeling of receiving messages and photos from clients telling me that this is the best tan they’ve ever had and that they’re obsessed with the color. Knowing that I’ve helped someone feel amazing in their skin is incredibly rewarding and drives me to continue offering the best service possible.
As a mom of two young kids, I needed a career that offered flexibility, and starting this business aligned perfectly with my lifestyle. With a family history of skin cancer, I’ve learned to prioritize safe tanning methods, so it’s really important that I help others achieve that sun-kissed look without harming their skin.
I’m also dedicated to offering a luxury experience. I continuously educate myself and listen to my clients to better serve them. My services include sweat-resistant, hydrating, and skin-firming options—really all the bells and whistles to make sure every client leaves feeling their best!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, it has been a relatively smooth road! I own, run and operate a Glamping Goat (Airbnb) Farm in Tennessee with my husband, as well. (It is called English Creek Hideaway if you want to check it out!)
Starting and growing that business taught me SO MUCH about business management, marketing, resilience, and the importance of truly listening to customers. There were certainly moments where I have had to roll with the punches, adapt to unexpected changes, and continuously find ways to serve customers better.
These lessons have been truly invaluable in my spray tan business, helping me navigate the natural ups and downs of entrepreneurship. While I haven’t faced any major setbacks, I’ve definitely grown through the process of constantly learning, adapting, and striving to exceed customer expectations.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m passionate about helping women glow—inside and out. I specialize in custom airbrush spray tans that not only enhance my clients’ natural beauty but also give them that extra boost of confidence. My goal is to make every woman feel comfortable, empowered, and radiant from the moment they walk through my door.
I’m especially proud of how many new clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with who have never had a spray tan before. Often, they come in feeling nervous or worried they might turn orange, but after their appointment, they rave about how comfortable and thorough I was, and how amazing they feel with their new tan. Hearing them say that their experience was a 10/10 and seeing them refer their friends and family—it’s truly an incredible feeling.
What sets me apart is my commitment to providing a luxury experience that’s about much more than just the tan. I strive to make each tanning appointment as comfortable and fun as possible, ensuring that every client leaves loving their tan. I use premium products that are sweat-resistant, skin-firming, and hydrating, and I tailor each tan to the individual’s skin tone to achieve the perfect, natural glow. My approach is personalized, attentive, and focused on making sure every woman feels her absolute best—before, during, and after her appointment.
What are your plans for the future?
My ultimate goal is to become THE go-to glow girl in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I want to be the first name that comes to mind when women are preparing for major events, vacations, or just want to feel stunning in their everyday lives. My vision is to have a fully booked calendar, where clients trust that I will always make them look and feel their absolute best.
I’m also excited about the possibility of expanding my business. In the future, I see myself teaching and leading a team of talented women who share my passion for helping others glow with confidence. Together, we’ll continue to offer the luxury, custom tanning experience that my clients have come to love. I’m eager to build something that not only helps women feel beautiful but also empowers other women to succeed in this industry. It’s about creating a community of confidence, one flawless spray tan at a time.
