Daily Inspiration: Meet Christina “StinaCherie” Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina “StinaCherie” Johnson.

Hi Christina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I am an influencer and innovator with a passion for faith, fashion, finance, family, people, and creativity. Detroit, MI is my birthplace where a lot of my creativity and fashion sense blossomed, as well as my background in finance. While attending Detroit School of Arts where I studied music technology as my primary major I was invited to drop my major and study a trade. It was my principal Dr. Cotton who redirected my path from culinary arts to accounting and finance.

Having the opportunity paired with my will to succeed ultimately led me into the banking and investment industry as a career. While I did love helping people with their financial needs my gifts of style, influence and innovation shined much brighter. The year after I graduated college I moved to LA where I studied Fashion Design and Merchandising Product Development at FIDM. My counselor Mrs. Wonderful (that’s what I called her!) noticed how I didn’t just stand out for my style and creative abilities, but my business sense as well.

After leaving LA and moving to Texas based on a dream that I believe was nothing other than God the pandemic hit and I was at home like everyone else in the world. During my quarantine time, I had time to focus on smoothing and refining myself which allowed me to see clearly that if I was going to build any business it would be an innovative company that would allow me to use skills that I would use at other companies in the past.

I was determined to take the best-kept secret of my innovating systems, content and so much more to another level and build a legacy. Now being a mother to my beautiful baby girl I am building my start-up to allow me the ability to do what I love to do while being present with her.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been a road I’m grateful to be on and blessed. Struggles that I have faced while building my startup have been getting over mom guilt when I have my mind on success for us and a list of things to complete while having my daughter wanting to play or just cuddle. I have learned how to overcome the mom guilt, and structure my business and social media accounts and home in a balanced way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My professional background is in the banking and finance industry. Currently, I am in the start-up phase of building an innovation company and my social media brand as an influencer who doesn’t just do or say what’s trending, but what is best with love and on my terms #TheStinaWay! I’m known for my good heart, fashion sense, and ability to create systems at my past jobs that helped large companies save millions of dollars, ignite associate engagement and betterment as well as my upfront yet loving personality when connecting with people.

I’m most proud of my trust in God to do things I knew I could do, but only with him. What sets me apart is my mindset, heart for people, and lifestyle. I’m tenuous and I face obstacles head-on with creative solutions first. I am a lifestyle and it’s one that I enjoy even as it grows to be all it will be.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice for finding a mentor is to align yourself with what you want and need to know to be successful. And if you aren’t able to consistently connect with or find a good mentor utilize your own will to learn and succeed by seeking your answers on YouTube, Google, and other sources that will ultimately get you connected to a great network of people that will believe in and support your success.
