Daily Inspiration: Meet Clyde Joseph

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clyde Joseph.

Hi Clyde, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I move here 9 years ago from Lafayette, Louisiana. I was a high school teacher for 4 years and did pt (personal training) part time outside of coaching basketball and teaching. Before my move here to Dallas I came to visit a friend who introduced me to a guy that worked for Equinox. After meeting him he convinced me to apply and told me it was a great opportunity to train full time. I decided to apply and later that year I took a chance and moved to Dallas. It was at the time the biggest risk I took in my life. Only one friend, starting at new career at 30 years of age, and no family here in a new city. Looking back on my experience it has been the biggest challenge and blessing. It taught me a great deal about myself and I flourished as young man. Now I currently operate as an independent contractor at a gym in Design District. I started my business 5 years ago after my departure from corporate. It presented a new challenge but I am in love with the process. My specialty is Internal Strength Training and Mobility. I am well verse in other aspects of training as well.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In some instances yes and some no. Like I mentioned before not having family here and starting a new career in a different city was challenging at first. I am very passionate in what I do so I guess that can makes it a smooth road. Also I have been blesses with amazing clients and friends here in Dallas. Which makes it feel like home.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in Internal Training and Mobility. Which includes recoding the nervous system: joint health, connective tissue, and muscle. I truly understand the relationship between the central nervous system and movement. With my skill I am able to train pretty much anyone. Whether it be a high level athlete or general population. I have extensive knowledge about the human body. I am most proud of my growth professionally and personally since I have been here in Dallas. I always meet a client where their are currently at and create a map/plan to get them to there destination.

How do you think about luck?
I see it more as a blessing from God. I have unwavering faith in the Lord and I do my best to follow the steps he has laid forth. At time their are some detours but I always seem to come back on the path that I trust and prayed for.
