Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristina Termure.
Hi Cristina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was just a little girl. Grew up in Moldova, in the city, but grew up poorly. My parents were so good at giving us the attention we needed and always providing everything we could even imagine. We grew up knowing better than to ask for something we didn’t need. No matter the struggles or the days we were ALWAYS with family. My favorite memories were when all my uncles and aunts lived in the same house as my grandparents, and my cousins and I visited them. Never even imagined my life being better. But looking back at those memories in pictures or videos I know that that’s what I wanted to do for others. Being able to capture the biggest moments in their lives and be able to give that to them, to hold on to for a lifetime. I am now about to celebrate 13 blessed years in the United States and the only thing that has changed is that I am now married to my number one supporter and growing and learning more about how to be better for my clients. Love doing what I do. I started out small but worked my way up until I landed my very first wedding this past summer. My world flipped! And I can’t wait to see what the future has got in store!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I have always been hard on myself, and I’ve always had doubts. I would be my worst critic and I would always tell myself, “There are people way better than you. This isn’t for you.” There were times where I would put myself out there and ended up wanting to give up because people just weren’t booking with me. I felt the need to always do my job for free in order to get people to book. But one day I realized, “my services are meant for people who want them, not for people that I will have to beg for!” And that is what pushes me to this day.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I consider myself an artist. Not in painting, or drawing specifically, (even though I enjoy doing that as well), but in most things. I love to do anything that is art related, whether that is photography, designing, fashion, photography, other content creating, music, and something that I am new to… cosmetology. I’ve loved anything that evolves around art since I can even remember! I have done them all. I have recently even joined cosmetology school to expand my knowledge and skills, to one day become my own boss in my own salon as well! If there is one thing I continue to learn, is that nothing gets me the way photography always does.
What matters most to you? Why?
The thing that matters most to me is family. Family is what brought me to where I am, the person I am. My love for photography and content creating began with my family, the memories we made. They are the people that have pushed me to be a better version of myself and pushed me to follow my dreams.
