Today we’d like to introduce you to Deondre Carter.
Hi Deondre, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Growing up, I had a love for creating art whether it was drawing, painting, or graphic design. With this passion, I always had the dream of having my art becoming renown whether online, in museum, or on clothing. During the pandemic, I was given the opportunity to bring this dream into fruition. With the support from family and friends, the name of Cvrterbrand began to spread. We continued to create clothing that not only looked good for everyone but also had a meaning with each design placed on the fabric. As word began to spread, the more customers we began to see as the cvrterbrand family continued to grow!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to where we are now was not the smoothest, as is anything worth working for. When we first started, we had multiple challenges whether they were trying to gain more exposure to creating new meaningful designs that our customers would be proud wearing. These were challenges that we expected to come up at the beginning and continuously prepare to solve because we not only want to continue to reach as many customers as possible but also want to use our opportunity to create more art/clothing that gives meaning to many!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Most of my work specializes in graphic design and clothing design! I am known for my diverse artwork that is not only shown on our clothing but for other clothing companies, sports programs, and business ventures. With that being said, I am most proud of the meaning that all of the cvrterbrand designs hold and our ability to be inclusive for everyone. At cvrterbrand, we are grateful for our customers and would always like to express how thankful we are for their support! That is why what sets us apart from competition is not only our uniqueness in designs but also how we consider all that support us a part of the cvrterbrand family!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe that when starting a business, a lot of your initial success depends on luck. Whether you’re lucky enough to gain exposure, have a consistent group of buyers, or even something as simple as timing can always determine the success of business. With that being said, even though we are fortunate with good luck so far, that doesn’t undermine the planning, designing, and overall hard work that has been placed within Cvrterbrand, from us and our supporters.
