Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Ajose.
Hi Elizabeth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a self taught artist and I’ve felt since the moment I’ve been able to learn how to use a pencil, art has been my calling. My earliest memories of my creative side has been having my painting of a cat be apart of my grade schools art show. Also my dad bringing home blue scrap paper with his work company’s name on it and making drawings on there. Art has always been and always be who I am and what I know I was set out on this earth to create. I am currently creating digital artwork with Adobe Illustrator and I can say that my skills have grown so much over the years. My goal is to continue to create art and share it with the world in hopes to inspire others.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say some roadblocks I have faced is whenever I get into an “art hiatus” either due to lack of inspiration or stress from my personal life. I’m not one to force myself to create, it’s something that I have to feel I want to do art the moment so I’m able to lock in and focus on.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am currently a fundraising representative for a non profit organization.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was very shy and reserved growing up. I would also say well kind, even tempered and sensitive as well. My interests besides the obvious (art) were listing to music, watching tv and I used to read A LOT when I was younger.
