Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Befumo.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have had a passion for the amusement industry for a long time. Combined with my love for photography and art, I thought it would be unique to take my passion to the next level by taking pictures of different amusement locations and attractions from around the country. When I started by Instagram account at the end of 2015, I had little idea how far it would come over the years. Presently, after accumulating more that 3800 followers, I find it both inspiring and motivating that people have taken a liking to my content. As the years have progressed, I have watched my skills improve and have experimented with different angles and editing styles to keep my content looking modern and professional.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part, it has been smooth sailing. Aside from a small break I took last year, it was sometimes difficult to find motivation to shoot new content and post. However, as the times have progressed, I have found my way back to where I started and have began sharing content regularly again.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a creative, I post photographs of roller coasters and amusement attractions. I specialize in detailed, close-up, and action-filled shots with a very individualized editing style. I am most proud of my growth as a photographer. When I first got my camera, it took a long time to understand how to properly shoot photographs with it. Through trial and error, I have finally found my style and always put my all into my work. What sets me apart from others in the industry is my ability to capture angles that my audience has never seen before.
Any big plans?
In the future, I hope to travel to other parks across the country and the world to capture the unique character and charm of some of these other locations. I am looking forward to growing my platform, improving my work, and meeting fellow photographers that have the same passion as myself.
