Daily Inspiration: Meet Eric Rush

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Rush

Hi Eric , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Frisco,TX – My journey has been a tough one—filled with struggles, pain, and tough lessons. I grew up in difficult circumstances, joined the military to escape, and ended up facing battles far beyond what I’d ever imagined. Coming home from war, PTSD became a shadow I couldn’t shake, and I fell into a dark spiral that led me to prison.

But even in the darkest moments, I chose to fight—first within myself. I spent time in solitary confinement, facing the hardest battle of all: confronting who I was and where I was headed. That moment changed everything for me.

When I was released, I knew I had a choice. I could stay stuck in my past or I could create something new. I chose to rebuild through education, service, and telling my story. I became an advocate for those who need a second chance and realized that sharing my experiences through podcasting not only helped others—it helped me heal.

Now, as the CEO of Prime Pitch Podcast Network, I’m leading podcasts that are about more than just talking. They’re about real transformation, connection, and giving people a platform to share their truth. My story is proof that no matter how low you go, you can always rise again and turn your pain into purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been far from easy. From a difficult childhood to the trauma of war and the weight of PTSD, I struggled with deep personal battles. My descent into prison highlighted my darkest moments, forcing me to confront my choices and who I had become. Solitary confinement was a turning point, pushing me to face myself without distractions.

Rebuilding after prison was tough—education gave me direction, but the real challenge was healing from within. It took grit and resilience to overcome self-doubt and the lingering shadows of my past. Every setback became a lesson, shaping my path to where I am today. The journey wasn’t smooth, but it’s been transformative.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At the core of my work, I specialize in using storytelling as a vehicle for transformation. As the CEO of Prime Pitch Podcast Network, I lead three impactful podcasts that focus on resilience, innovation, and giving voice to those who’ve been overlooked. I’m known for my ability to connect deeply with people and for creating spaces where raw, authentic stories can inspire real change.

What I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve had on veterans and individuals rebuilding their lives after prison. My journey—surviving war, battling PTSD, and overcoming the struggles of incarceration—gives me a unique perspective that allows me to genuinely connect with and mentor others through similar challenges.

What truly sets me apart is the combination of my lived experience and my professional work. I don’t just talk about resilience; I embody it. This authenticity allows me to lead with both empathy and authority, and it’s what drives my mission of helping others turn their pain into purpose. Whether through my podcasts or my advocacy, I am committed to showing people that transformation is not only possible—it’s within reach.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing real change in people’s lives. Whether it’s someone finding their voice or overcoming a tough situation, knowing that my work has helped them move forward is what drives me. I find satisfaction in the moments when people realize they have the power to reshape their future, just like I did.

I also value the simplicity of real, honest conversations. It’s those moments of genuine connection that remind me of the importance of staying grounded and focused on what truly matters. The happiness comes from knowing I’m helping create those moments for others.
