Daily Inspiration: Meet Frank Morris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Frank Morris.

Frank, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been an artist since a little boy. Born and raised in Monrovia Liberia, moved to the U.S. and resided in Boston Massachusetts. I grew passion fir art throughout middle and high-school. I attended Massachusetts College of Art and design. This is where I struck into my creativity. I studied all ranges of art from pencil drawings, paintings, to graphic designing. After graduation it’s where I decided to start my branding. Frankmorrisdesigns and Knowyourootzllc. I did fashion events, while working for my self creating.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road but I learned from all of my experiences. Some of my struggles were financial issues getting a capital for my business and brand. Also the lack of committed team members.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist first and foremost, I design branding for many clients from Boston and the dfw areas. I also market my brand Knowyourootz apparel. I began this apparel since 2010. The purpose of my brand is acknowledging our original roots..Africa. I specialize in creating art and I’m an NDT inspector working for pratt and whitney. I’m most proud of my clothing brand which began as an idea to what has been a blessing sharing my ideas to others. What sets me apart from others is my grit and patience. I’m not in a competition with no but myself.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I really hope my industry blossoms within the next 5-10 years with more locations nationwide. I would like to own my a shop
