Today we’d like to introduce you to JenLyn (UNBN) Ford
Hi JenLyn (UNBN), thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Meet the Visionary Behind the Brand
Life has shaped me into the person I am today, and every experience—both the radiant and the challenging—has fueled my purpose. I am blessed with a wonderful marriage and proud to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community. My family is my heart: I have a brilliant son and a daughter-in-law, and I am Glam-Glam to two gifted young ladies and two magnificent boys.
Family has always been my anchor. My twin brother is the wind beneath my wings, and my younger brother is someone I deeply adore. Through life’s many trials, they have remained constants, lifting me up when I needed it most.
I have faced unimaginable challenges—I am a survivor of kidnapping and attempted murder. I have known loss, having been widowed by suicide, and I have endured heartbreak, being abandoned by my second wife when my seven autoimmune diseases placed me in a wheelchair. But through it all, I have risen. As an AudHD neurodivergent individual, I have turned my differences into my strengths, using my journey to inspire and empower others.
I am not just a survivor; I am a creator, a leader, and a visionary. Every challenge has fueled my determination to carve out spaces where authenticity and innovation thrive.
As a 4x #1 international best-selling author, multimedia strategist, and certified Human and Civil Rights Activist, I have hosted over 600+ remote live sessions, amplifying the voices of entrepreneurs and thought leaders. ICONOclastic Pulse, now in its 4th year, is an extension of this mission—a platform where branding meets artistry, where voices are amplified, and where identities are fully embraced.
Beyond ICONOclastic Pulse, I have collaborated with renowned publications, including Canvas Rebel and Level Up, solidifying my reputation as a leading voice in branding and media. Through Polished LIVEstream, I provide an interactive stage for dynamic conversations that challenge the status quo and inspire bold action. The Evolution of my Path
When I started, my focus was on breaking free from labels—helping people and brands embrace their multidimensional nature without being forced into a single niche. But over time, I realized that it’s not just about breaking free; it’s about sculpting something entirely new.
At first, my approach centered on visibility—getting people to stand out. But through experience, I saw the deeper need for magnetism over mere exposure. A brand shouldn’t just be noticed; it should be felt. This shift in thinking led to my evolution from Chroma to Polished LIVEstream and ICONoclastic Pulse, refining how I guide others in crafting identities that feel true to them.
Now, my work isn’t just about branding—it’s about identity alchemy. Through Polished LIVEstream, I create a space for sophisticated, impactful conversations that challenge the status quo, merging thought leadership with authenticity. With ICONoclastic Pulse, I’ve developed more than just a magazine—it’s an avant-garde branding codex, a deep dive into aesthetics, trends, and the psychology behind brand magnetism.
I’d say my journey has been less about following a linear path and more about creating an evolving landscape where people can own their muchness unapologetically.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The Road Less Traveled: Navigating the Uncharted
Smooth? Not exactly. But I never expected it to be. When you build something that doesn’t fit inside a conventional box, you have to carve your own path. And carving a path means facing resistance, uncertainty, and moments where you wonder if the world is ready for what you have to offer.
One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the paradox of being multifaceted in a world that loves specialization. Early on, I struggled with the pressure to “niche down.” The industry often rewards the easily defined—the business coach, the designer, the consultant. But my work has always been more expansive. I wasn’t just creating brands; I was sculpting identities, blending aesthetics with neuroscience, storytelling with energetics.
For a long time, that felt like a struggle—until I flipped the script and embraced it as my superpower. That’s what led to Polished LIVEstream and ICONoclastic Pulse—platforms where multidimensionality isn’t just accepted, it’s celebrated.
Another challenge? Building something new requires constant translation. When you create something that doesn’t have an easy industry comparison, you have to find ways to communicate its value before people even know they need it. There were moments when I had to refine, rework, and reposition my message—not because my vision wasn’t clear, but because I was speaking a language the industry wasn’t fluent in yet.
And of course, resistance always comes when you break norms. Some people won’t get it. Some will try to fit you into a familiar framework. Some will dismiss what they don’t understand. But every struggle—every moment of doubt or pushback—has shaped the way I lead today. It’s why Polished isn’t just a livestream—it’s a space for bold conversations. It’s why ICONoclastic Pulse isn’t just a magazine—it’s a manifesto for those redefining what’s possible.
So no, the road hasn’t been smooth. But that’s the beauty of building something groundbreaking. You don’t follow a paved path—you create one. And that’s exactly what I’ve done.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Branding as an Art Form: Where Creativity, Activism, and Identity Converge
My career has never fit inside a single discipline—it’s been an ever-evolving fusion of artistry, activism, social entrepreneurship, and branding. I don’t just design brands; I sculpt them. I approach branding the way an artist approaches a canvas—layering colors, textures, movement, and depth to create something that doesn’t just look good but feels alive.
But beyond artistry, my work is deeply rooted in advocacy. As a certified Human and Civil Rights Activist, I’ve always been driven by the idea that representation, equity, and self-expression are non-negotiable. Traditional branding often forces people into marketable boxes, but Avant-Garde Branding challenges that—it liberates, it disrupts, and it redefines. It’s branding that doesn’t conform to trends; it sets them. It’s for the voices that refuse to be silenced and the identities that demand to be seen, heard, and felt.
This philosophy led to the creation of ICONoclastic Pulse, not just as a magazine but as an avant-garde branding codex—a space where identity, art, and activism intersect. It’s why Polished LIVEstream exists—to create raw, real-time conversations that go beyond aesthetics and into the deeper meaning of presence, visibility, and impact.
At my core, I am an artist, a social entrepreneur, and an activist. But my medium isn’t just paint or sculpture—it’s identity, presence, and perception. My career has been about pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and proving that branding isn’t just business—it’s an act of self-expression, a movement, and in the right hands, a revolution.
What matters most to you?
What Matters Most to Me: Identity, Impact, and Liberation
What matters most to me is liberation—the freedom to be, express, and build without constraints. Whether it’s through art, branding, or activism, my work is about creating spaces where authenticity isn’t just accepted—it’s amplified.
As a certified Human and Civil Rights Activist, I’ve seen firsthand how visibility is power. Representation isn’t just about being seen—it’s about being seen accurately, fully, and without compromise. Too often, people—especially those who are neurodivergent, multi-passionate, or outside conventional norms—are told to fit in to be successful. But I’ve built my life and career on proving the opposite: true success comes when we fully own our muchness.
This is why I created Avant-Garde Branding. It’s not just a business model—it’s a movement. Polished LIVEstream and ICONoclastic Pulse exist because branding isn’t just about business—it’s about identity, presence, and impact. It’s about giving people the tools, language, and platforms to be seen on their own terms.
At my core, what matters most is helping people break free from outdated narratives and build something that is truly, unapologetically theirs. Because when we stop shrinking ourselves to fit the world’s expectations, we don’t just stand out—we change everything.
