Daily Inspiration: Meet Juan Valero

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Valero.

Juan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Got into the creative space around 7 years ago. Felt inclined into it with the heavy pressence of social media and such powerful mediums such as Youtube in the day to day activities. Followed a couple of creators from different walk of live going from gaming creators, to travel vloggers, etc. From there, decided to do a couple of home videos for myself, and that kickstarted a passion in me to learn more about cameras and production in general. That it’s still pushing forward to this day, after working with Brand such as: Red Bull, HEB, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, 343 Studios and more

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was a fairly smooth road. There were a couple up and downs throughout the years, with some moments thinking on the back of my head ” Is it time to get a office job once again?”. Thankfully, the good times outshine the low times by a mile. And thankfully I maintain that drive and dedication to keep pushing forward to this day. Some of my issues were trying to be to close to my art. Instead of considering myself like an artist, or thinking I have the last say on a project. understanding it more from the perspective of a business that it’s trying to help other businesses with their marketing. Another issue that I found on the road is believing that word of mouth is enough. Word of mouth has given me consistent business to where I can run my business, but no one grows from only one lead source.
Understanding and learning more about marketing helped me understand more about my industry and how easily I can help more businesses with my work

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I like to call myself a content producer, I’m helping out productions with whatever they need to make a project happen. This can cover a wide range of roles from photography, all the way to video editor. I specialize in video production, mainly on the gaming/ esports market of the USA. Working with the biggests names on both organizational level, as well as talent level. I’m proud to reaching levels that I always looked up growing up, and being able to sit in the same table of top talent of different industries. What sets me apart from others it’s able to translate good looking assets (Such as graphics, photos, footage) and turning it into compelling stories that go beyond the few seconds that audiences experience

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Dedication and easy to work with. Hard work beats talent every time.
