Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Ross.
Hi Katrina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve wanted to sew since I was a little girl, like 7 little. I use to make my doll clothes out of socks. Thankful for my mom buying me the little kit from the dollar store to her really perusing my dreams and buying me my first sewing machine before she left this earth. May God rest her soul. She is the reason for it all. She helped me birth my brand Painstitch. I think of her with every stitch knowing she’s proud of the things I have accomplished.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At all has it been a smooth road! Let’s talk about highs and lows, give and take. I get asked for school discounts, “friend/sis” discounts, can I pay you after I pick up, like my business isn’t as important as any other, and it just makes me want to make fits for me ONLY.

My ultimate goal is to have an athleisure line and eventually expand from there. I love bodysuits! But Here lately, God said otherwise. I jumped into Prom, and boy oh boy, just know I’ll be more prepared next year lol. But I did REALLY good for it being my 1st year. Let’s just say I be in my own way A LOT!

WHATEVER I do, I do it cause it’s my passion. I put all my PAIN in every STITCH, and it ALWAYS turns out great. It’s bigger than me.
