Daily Inspiration: Meet Keanna Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keanna Brown.

Keanna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I start doing nails a 2019, attended school but quit after a month due the finances. I continued to perfect my craft and went back to school in 2021 and completed the manicure program at Tint School of Cosmetology and Makeup. I am now a licensed nail technician in the state of Texas. Currently working at Flourishing Follicles Beauty Salon doing nails.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a nail tech has not been easy. It has been a challenge for me to gain clientele. How do you convince someone to book your service? I often feel like I’m wasting my time and money, cause it cost money to make money. I have to remember why I started doing nails in the first place. I believe in my own potential and everyone else would have to catch me when they can.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a nail tech, I specialize in acrylic, manicures, pedicures, and presson nails. I am known for my presson nails, a customer will sent me an inspo picture and I can recreate it. For example, if someone has a special event like party, wedding, etc., and would like nails for that day I am your girl. I’m most proud of how far I have came and looking forward to seeing what else is in store for me. This is not a hobby for me, I have a passion for nails and that’s what set me apart from others.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My determination and positive attitude. It’s easy to get discouraged or give up but with having a positive mindset I know the best is yet to come.
