Daily Inspiration: Meet Keeman Malone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keeman Malone.

Hi Keeman, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always dreamed of owning a diecast replica of the police vehicle I drive. When I began researching, I realized that the prices were far too expensive. Instead of letting that discourage me, I explored what it would take to build one myself. That discovery sparked a new motivation, to create meaningful replicas for first responders.

My vision is to provide the men and women who serve our communities with something they can cherish long after retirement a piece of memorabilia that honors their service and can be passed down for generations. I take pride in keeping my prices reasonable and affordable, ensuring that these keepsakes are accessible to those who deserve them most.

Since starting this business, I’ve seen it grow, more importantly, I’ve found joy in the work. Every replica I build is more than just a model it’s a tribute to the dedication, sacrifice, and courage of first responders. This journey has become not just a business but a mission I am honored to pursue.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has not been smooth. Every challenge has helped me grow. When I first began, there was a great deal of trial and error, especially with wiring the units for the lighted replicas modeled after police vehicles. Learning how to wire these units was a significant challenge, and at times it felt overwhelming.

Instead of giving up, I committed myself to deeper research and sought guidance. I was fortunate to connect with someone experienced in building these vehicles, who shared resources and insights. With persistence, patience, and a willingness to learn, I gradually overcame the obstacles.

Over time, I mastered the art of wiring the vehicles. This experience taught me that growth often comes through struggle, and every setback is an opportunity to learn. What once seemed impossible has now become a skill I take pride in, and it reminds me that perseverance transforms challenges into achievements.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
With twenty-three years of service in law enforcement, I currently serve as a Deputy Constable specializing in civil process. I hold both a Police Instructor Certification and a Mental Health Certification. I am proud to have earned an associate’s degree from Tarrant County College and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Tarleton State University.

What I am most proud of, is turning Diecast from a dream into a reality. While others may have been in this industry longer, I have never allowed that to deter me. Instead, I have focused on building a business defined by integrity, passion, and innovation.

My attention to detail, strong communication, and consistent follow-up with customers are qualities I attribute to my early career in customer service skills that continue to set my business apart. Beyond that, my uniqueness lies in the specialized services I offer custom painting, powder coating, and the use of advanced 3D technology to deliver exactly what customers envision.

Diecast is more than a business it is a mission to provide first responders and collectors with meaningful, high-quality replicas that honor their service and create lasting memories.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was naturally outgoing and athletic, with basketball being my greatest passion. The game taught me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, qualities that continue to shape who I am today. Beyond sports, I developed a love for collecting sports cards, I believe that early fascination with collecting is what sparked my interest in collectibles.

In school, my favorite subjects were math and art. Math sharpened my problem-solving skills, and art nurtured my creativity. Together, they gave me a balance of analytical thinking and imaginative expression. These interests shaped my personality and laid the foundation for the creative and detail-oriented work I enjoy today.
