Daily Inspiration: Meet Kris Dixon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kris Dixon.

Hi Kris, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started when I was a kid and my dad would take me with him to work as he did construction and remodeling every day. So real estate has always been a part of my life but my story truly started about a year after I graduated college. I was just like any other college graduate; scared of what’s next, job searching, and eager to pay student loans. As I navigated through the corporate world working different jobs trying to find where I fit; it dawned on me that my true happiness was helping others and I knew I could do that through real estate as I watched my father do for years. I was hesitant to become an entrepreneur, but after getting tremendous amounts of support I decided to walk away from the corporate field and went back to school to get my real estate license in 2017 and the rest is history.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most entrepreneurial paths; real estate was no different. As a new agent, I faced many obstacles with gaining new clients and also knowing exactly how to handle them once I got them. I had a great mentor (which I strongly advise) that helped me through the rough times. One of the best pieces of advice I got in the beginning and I still use to this day is, “always seek to work to learn before you work to earn”.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a licensed realtor in the Dallas metroplex and I specialize in fulfilling my client’s real estate needs; rather that is buying, selling, or renting. I’m proud that I have a clean record with all my past clients which has resulted in multiple referrals. What sets me apart from other agents is my tremendous around the clock work ethic, and that I truly do treat my clients with the utmost respect in which some have become great friends after the job is done.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was actually very quiet and kept to myself. I was well known due to playing multiple sports throughout my school years. I’ve always been the person to listen first before speaking, and now that I’m my own business owner I have grown out of that quiet shell and I would consider myself a people person.
