Today we’d like to introduce you to LanceBattalion.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It started with 4 of us; Dawson Washington on the drums, Walker Pierce playing bass, Brock Horton on guitar, and Michael Ajemian as lead singer. We formed the band for a school talent show our teacher Lance Davis got us into freshman year. That’s why we named the band LanceBattalion. 3 years later we find Nolan Brin who was playing guitar for another local band Shady Vally. Now the 5 of us our working on our first album and trying to make it in this industry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We’ve been lucky with opportunities, but it has never been easy. Always something to fix or work on and growing together as a band too. When you have 5 minds trying to synchronize to write and play music it can be difficult. There’s writers’ block, falling into slumps, and bad shows. You just have to play through it.

LanceBattalion is a rock band that covers a variety of rock and southern rock artists like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, Black Sabbath, and many more. We bring a lot of different sounds to our shows from southern rock to metal so there’s almost always something the crowd would like. We are also working on our first ep so be ready!!!
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
We have been a band for a little over 3 1/2 years now and we all just graduated high school this past year.
