Daily Inspiration: Meet Mary Tave-Ihenacho

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Tave-Ihenacho

Hi Mary, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Typically, I help others start their businesses. I never thought about starting my own ministry. While I had an outline of what I wanted the ministry of Audacity Presents to be, I was waiting for God to send someone who wanted to start a podcast or blog. I would then hand them the drafted outline and support them in their endeavor, but that day never came. I continued to outline topics on what area of life we fail to be audacious or to take a bold risk. I wanted the ministry to encourage people to take those risks for Christ. People often pray for more patience, courage, or boldness in their faith, but how about being audacious to pursue those things? I wanted having the ‘AUDACITY’ to do something to have a positive impact on the world.

If you are thinking of launching a business or ministry, think about the following:

What do you want it to be?
Who do you want it to reach?
What are you willing to sacrifice for it? Time, money …

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting any business can be challenging. For many, continuing to work a 9 to 5 is a must. Juggling your full-time job and a full-time passion helps to answer the question, how badly do you want your passions to become a reality? Finding the time to produce a weekly podcast and blog requires a lot, especially if you know nothing about producing a podcast or writing a blog. I had to set perfection aside and jump in, knowing things would improve as I became comfortable behind a microphone and camera. Both can be scary. I learned all I could about different podcast applications and blog websites. I taught myself how to edit and publish them. I am continuously learning.

A great question to ask as you work on your business is, “Have I done my best?” If the answer is yes, then publish that article, open that new business, or design that new dress. As long as you’ve done your best, that is all that matters. It will never be perfect, but you will become better over time.

We all have a heart calling, but very few of us answer the call.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Audacity Presents is a faith-based ministry founded in 2020, designed for Christians to live an audacious life for Christ. It is based on Philippians 1:21, where the Apostle Paul’s current circumstance was a win/win. Paul wrote, For me, to live is Christ, to die is gain.” Our mission is to Teach, Encourage, and Disciple.

The ministry produces a weekly Podcast across all platforms and a weekly blog, where we encourage listeners and readers to have the Audacity to take risks and be bold for Christ. Occasionally, we have an opportunity to speak or host women’s conferences in the DFW area. It is always a joy to connect with people in person.

The online ministry, with its global reach, allows us to touch lives in places we could not physically go. This ministry gives us a broader reach to countries such as Sweden, Ireland, Ukraine, Nigeria, and others, inspiring a sense of unity and shared purpose across borders.

As the founder of Audacity Presents, I have also published various children’s books called Eternal Children’s Collective. This collection of books establishes a biblical foundation for our children and encourages them to find their place in our current world. All books are available on Amazon.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I just completed Mind Shift by Erwin Raphael McManus. Many times we are not where we need to be because of our mindset. Romans 12:2 tells us, “be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. This means our minds can shift into a different pattern of thinking if we have the proper mental structures in place. McManus gives 12 mind shifts that will drive people to God to accomplish his/her purpose in their lives.

1. It’s All About People 7. No One Knows What They Are Doing
2. You Don’t Need an Audience 8. Bitterness and Other Poisons That Will Kill You
3. You Can’t Take Everyone with You 9. You Find What You Are
4. They Won’t Get It Until You Do It 10. Be Average (At Almost Everything
5. You Are Your Own Ceiling 11. Success Weighs More Than Failure
6. Talent Is a Hallucinogen 12. There Is No Such Thing as Too Much of a Good Thing
