Today we’d like to introduce you to Mecca Jordan.
Hi Mecca, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up I was a model in California, where I am originally from, and I was always amazed as to how the make-up artist could transform someone with not-so-perfect skin to look absolutely flawless. I also would see how the “model”, would have such a huge confidence booster once they saw themselves. That’s when I knew I wanted to help people with their skin. As life happens it took many years before I decided to go for my passion and attend Aesthetic School. I worked for others for about 5 years and help build their business and my biggest supporter; my Husband was always telling me to open my own business and build my brand. I was so scared to take that leap of faith because I was afraid of failure. Well, Covid happen, and I was let go of my last position. This may sound crazy but, I took this as a sign that now was the time. So, I did, smack dap in the middle of a pandemic. LOL, I opened Mira J’s Face & Body Wellness Spa, August 17, 2020.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As any 1st-time business, there have definitely been some hiccups along the way, especially during the time that I opened Mira J’s and how the world was and is at this time. I have overcome those obstacles by prayer, marketing, and providing the best services to my clients.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Aesthetic world has really grown a lot over the years. My passion is Skincare and helping my clients perfect their personal canvas. I am constantly taking additional classes, webinars, etc. The worst thing I believe anyone can do no matter the business is stop learning and educating themselves on their craft. One of my major accomplishments is having my own Skincare and Bodyline. That is one thing that I have always wanted, and that dream has now come true.
What do you think about luck?
I would not say Luck, I would rather use Prayer. I have prayed, prayed, and prayed for this. I have a very strong support system who has prayed as well. Also, hard work plays a MAJOR role in success. There are times when I am just exhausted, but I know that my end result is much more gratifying.
