Daily Inspiration: Meet Megan Cardwell & Brittany Hale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Cardwell & Brittany Hale.

Hi Megan & Brittany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
We are sisters who, in the throes of motherhood and attempting to find a work-life balance, set out to create an honest community of support for anyone who may need it. We started sharing our experiences and stories to a blog that expanded to our Instagram platform and, with a lot of work and dedication, has turned into the sweetest little corner of the internet and has come to generate ways for us to make that work-life balance a little less complicated.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth ride, right? It seems, that no matter what path you take in life, you will face difficulties and obstacles. Frankly speaking, self-doubt, burnout, and the courage to speak truths that feel taboo in such a public forum have been the biggest struggles for us. It takes a lot of commitment and work to meet your goals. Our goal for Oh-Four the Love, from a business standpoint, was always to have our platform generate revenue to support our families. Pitching ourselves to brands and companies that align with our values and the things we feel are important in the world got a little discouraging; it took a lot of “nos” to get to a place where we started hearing “yes”. Buckling down and embracing our grit is a huge part of where we are today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We have interesting backgrounds, between the two of us. By trade, Megan works in business marketing. Brittany went to school for business but has been an early childhood professional for over a decade. What’s important to us is being and raising good humans. We want to leave each place we are in a little better than we found it. What we do together now is social media work through Oh-Four the Love. We’ve used our combined talents and backgrounds to create our website and blog and launch our multiple social media channels. Through authenticity and vulnerability, we believe we are making our Oh-Four the Love community a safe place for parents and people of all walks of life.

We are most proud of building this together from ground zero. We feel proud to have an authentic space where hard days are normalized and we all find success in parenting, one day at a time.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Something we tell our community all the time is simply engaging with our content goes such a long way for us. Just being there is huge. We are always looking for amazing collaboration opportunities and would welcome anyone interested to reach out!
