Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle McClain.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
There was a season in Michelle McClain’s life when everything seemed to be falling apart.
After losing her job, she found herself on her knees, looking upward and asking God, “Why? How did I get here?”
She wasn’t living the healthy, active life she teaches today. She was struggling emotionally, relying heavily on fast food and alcohol, and trying to find her way through a difficult season.
But that moment wasn’t the end of her story.
It was the beginning of her reinvention.
Michelle made a decision: she would not allow her circumstances to define her future.
She immersed herself in health and wellness, became a certified health coach, and began applying what she learned to her own life.
She became her own first client.
As she transformed physically, something deeper began to change. Her mindset shifted. Her confidence grew. Her habits changed. She began to see herself—and her possibilities—differently.
Michelle discovered that real transformation isn’t just about what you eat or how often you exercise.
It’s about what you believe.
How you think.
How you respond to adversity.
And whether you are willing to believe that your life can change.
From Overcoming to Purpose
What began as a personal journey became a lifelong mission.
For more than 15 years, Michelle has continued to learn, grow, and help others create meaningful change. Her work expanded beyond health and fitness into mindset, emotional wellness, personal growth, spiritual development, and a more holistic approach to vitality.
She became an international bestselling author, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and mentor, speaking on stages around the world and sharing platforms with leaders including Les Brown, Bob Proctor, Denis Waitley, and Forbes Riley.
But when Michelle looks back, the accomplishments aren’t what define her journey.
It’s the transformation.
And even more importantly, it’s seeing someone else discover that they are capable of transforming their own life.
Creating Vitality
That journey led Michelle to create Vitality by Michelle, built around a simple belief:
Health isn’t something you chase.
It’s a way of life.
Today, Michelle helps others build healthier habits, strengthen their mindset, increase their vitality, and create sustainable change.
Her work continues to evolve, but the heart of it remains the same: helping people recognize that they are not trapped by where they are today.
There is always a next chapter.
Your Story Isn’t Finished
Michelle no longer sees losing her job as the worst thing that happened to her.
She sees it as the moment that forced her to stop, look up, and choose a different direction.
Had she never found herself on her knees asking, “Why? How did I get here?” she may never have discovered the purpose that has shaped the last 15 years of her life.
Her story is a reminder that reinvention rarely begins when everything is going right.
Sometimes it begins in the middle of disappointment.
Sometimes it begins with loss.
Sometimes it begins when you finally admit, “I can’t keep living this way.”
And sometimes, it begins with one small decision to move forward.
You may not be able to change what happened yesterday.
But you can decide what happens next.
Your circumstances are not your identity.
Your lowest moment is not your final chapter.
And it is never too late to become who you were meant to be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Finding purpose in the pain, hope and reason to move forward, and the determination (while in a low place) to follow through with new goals.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Entrepreneur- in the health and wellness industry. I am proud of the personal will-power I have found in low moments of darkness. That no matter how hard it gets, I always find my way back up- and I support my clients in finding that same will-power.
My favorite quote is- It’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how quick you can get back up.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I offer coaching, and I also started a women’s non-profit for those in a low place and cannot afford to get a coach. I offer this because there were times I was in a similar situation, and wished there was a non-profit like this that existed, when I didn’t have the financial abilities to invest into support.
