Today we’d like to introduce you to Myloh Remora.
Hi Myloh, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
From the young age of 11,Myloh has been an artist and that journey has led him to being one of the most loved and respected musicians in all of Dallas and honestly around the world.Myloh has a decorated catalogue that spans from 2008 to present and is well known for his popular songs “Destruction” “Come On” “Pretty Little Angels” “GOAT Activity” and of course his beloved 20+ minute songs “Strictly 4 My Loved Ones & 4 the Art.” Myloh is known for his relentless lyrical prowess but is at this point more known for his experimental style and unpredictability.Recently,he released his 2nd Studio album “U HXTE THE IDEA OF ME” which has received universal praise with some considering this his best work to date.Today we discuss the process of this album and why he took nearly a year off from music.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being a musician has been far from a smooth road to be honest and quite frankly it’s left me with a lot of trauma and bitterness that my life outside of it doesn’t have.I have always tried to do my best to be an honest and loving musician but somehow I have always ended up the bad guy.I lose friends for living in this field. Its something that comes with the territory to be honest. The reality of it is that ego and arrogance play such a big part role in this game.I understand that people want me to go home and learn from my actions but I’m not gonna allow myself to act like I had ill intentions with anyone in this music.Since the very jump,my whole goal has been to help other artists in their journey,it’s a passion I’ve held with me from the very beginning and to see that hasn’t been appreciated just broke my heart in a million pieces.Again, we are all flawed so the only thing I can truly say is of course I’m not perfect but the lack of respect from certain peers is outrageous
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
This album is really 3 projects in one.Creatively I was in a very healthy space because it was treated as a journal.I had a lot of time to think and analyze things since I went ghost online and people can hear that in this project.I think that’s why it’s resonating so well
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Nope….what helps me is family and real friends. Genuine connections that I’ve been able to nourish and people who continue to show honest and caring love to me and I love giving it back
