Daily Inspiration: Meet Nat Fisher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nat Fisher.

Hi Nat, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Born and raised right here in the DFW, I started taking photos in the 7th grade and realized how quickly I had fallen in love with photography. From nature shots to candids, little moments in time can be captured and shared, giving the world a piece of your perspective. By the time I was in college, I couldn’t get enough of every lens, learning more about the way to hold cameras and always changing angles to refocus. My first camera ever was given to me by someone that I love very much, I owe a lot to them and my friends and family for helping me realize my passion.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The only thing holding you back from being the coolest version of yourself is the fear that you aren’t already cool. Anything you allow yourself to invest in, be it art, photography, skateboarding, literally anything, you can do! I think one of my greatest struggles was believing in myself. It wasn’t until after receiving lots of encouragement from friends, family, and loved ones, that I decided to step out and really do what it is I love. I’m very glad I got out of my shell, I know that life only gets better from here.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Dallas-based photographer who serves the greater Tarrant County area. I’m currently collaborating with locally based small businesses, work with some really awesome people in the cosplay community, and have a few projects coming out with local artists here soon. Most of my purchasable work is digital, but in the near future, prints will be available for sale in a package with digital content. A few of my services include (but are not limited to) : independent video editing, event photography, personal photographs, graduation photos, maternity shoots, family portraits, etc.

What matters most to you?
Making a positive impact on my community. Starting my first LGBTQ+, a woman-owned business has been a beautiful way to give back to my community and other communities I interact with. I find great joy in capturing the love and sharing goodness with each and every person I meet – here’s to hoping that we each leave the world a little brighter (no flash photography required)
