Hi Nia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I have been a cosmetologist with over 10+ years of experience across different platforms. I worked at many different salons and spas over the years. Those positions gave me my foundation and taught me a multitude of traits in what I wanted to be able to offer my guest. I decided it was time to venture out on my own to be able to showcase the experience I wanted to be able to provide for my clients. Thus, the idea for my spa Peach Envy was born and opened with my cousin, Alexis. Our services and different offerings together combined became a reality where we are able to provide guests with waxing, yoni steams, lymphatic massages, and teeth whitening to begin with more services to be offered in the future. Recently my husband, Reggie, has joined our team in offering Scalp Micropigmentation. As a team, we are always looking to enhance our business and be on the lookout for new services, and keeping ourselves up to date with continuing education.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every new business has its challenges and it has been a learning experience along the way. From starting to find a location and space to finishing up the final details before we had our grand opening. It started with finding a building that was essentially a blank canvas and we had a vision and had to go piece by piece to put together for it to become what it is today. It took lots of late long hours, and some creative thinking when problems arose. Simple things like a delay in deliveries for our supplies or decor for store had to improvise. Fortunately, with the help of family and friends supporting mentally and physically was able to help in the transition and making the dream a reality.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We offer full body waxing including intimate waxing such as Brazilians. Yoni steams which is an aged old remedy of vaginal steaming to cleanse the vagina and uterus. Vajacials which are often paired with waxing services. Other services include teeth whitening, express facials, lymphatic massage, and scalp micro-pigmentation. Many clients book multiple services together to get maximum results from individual services.
