Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Asher
Hi Noah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Years ago, I was incarcerated and tried taking my life. I thought I had no future, but I was wrong. After getting out, I built my own business and I’m now an Award-Winning Christian author. My new book, CHAOS: Overcoming the Overwhelming, is all about helping people find purpose in their pain and in their past. I wrote this to make sure anyone hurting could feel Hope, Help, Humor. I know how it feels to feel hopeless and helpless; I want to be the brightest of lights for people in their darkest of pits. This is also why I am using all proceeds of this book to provide copies inside prison libraries and rehab centers across America.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road from pain to purpose has been anything but smooth. It has felt more like a rollercoaster–full of highs and definitely lows. I got out of prison and wanted to show the world (and myself) that I had changed. It was difficult though. There was a feeling of imposter syndrome. I was told for so long that I was an “inmate”, I forgot who I really was. One of the hardest parts was finding that I still had worth. I had to remember I wasn’t a lost cause, but a found child of God.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My company and I help authors market their books through podcast bookings and social media support. We learned there was a need to provide affordable marketing for authors after the launch of my book. We meet with authors for some interview training and even do a mock-interview. After this, we start getting our clients booked to share their story. I like to say, “We are here to help build your platform so you can stand on it and share your message!” I am so happy we can provide affordable marketing. I am not exaggerating when I say that we charge a third of what other marketing agencies charge. It’s fun and rewarding to see others be able to grow and develop their own platform. Since my own book is about helping people find purpose in their pain and in their past, it’s fun to see it come to light through our Author Coaching services.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I believe it’s crucial to have a mentor. This is someone you can learn from and grow. This should be someone a few steps ahead of you that can help guide you along the way to success. You want someone who will stretch you, develop you, and keep you accountable. If you don’t have a mentor, make this a priority!
