Today we’re excited to be connecting with Paige Olvera again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Paige, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
My name is Paige, aka Mama Oinkers! I was born and raised right here in the DFW area—Irving, to be exact. Mama Oinkers is my personal brand, where I combine my love for food, digital marketing, and exploring all around DFW to support local businesses, artists, and restaurants. My goal is to become fluent in all things digital marketing and share that knowledge with small creators and businesses!
Looking back, I’ve always had a passion for marketing and creativity—I just didn’t realize it at the time. In school, I loved taking photos, designing things, and spreading the word about causes I cared about. My background is in customer service, but it wasn’t until I began my admin journey that I noticed a common theme in all my roles: I was always helping others and finding creative, out-of-the-box solutions.
About four years ago, I became a virtual assistant with a company called SuperPowers HQ. Through their training and the VA community, I discovered how much I loved giving people a sense of relief by handling tasks for them. That experience inspired me to apply the same skills to my own brand, taking on small clients and helping with graphic design, social media marketing, and more!
That’s when I was officially introduced to the world of marketing and realized that what I loved doing actually had a name—Digital Marketing! Now, for some, this might be an obvious “duh” moment, but for me, growing up without much structure meant I had to figure life out as I went. But once I found my passion, everything changed forever.
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
About four years ago, I was introduced to the world of virtual assisting and digital marketing through a company called SuperPowers HQ. They placed me with a marketing agency, Rose Marketing Solutions, where I still work today. I started as the Executive Assistant to the incredibly talented Founder and CEO, Ruth Ann Rose, and have since grown into a Key Account Manager for one of the company’s divisions.
All of this has happened in under five years—yes, just five! It’s been an absolute whirlwind. Looking back, my life was completely different. I mean, it was 2020—we were all in a bit of a “weird” phase. But going from answering customer service calls every day to managing over 30 client accounts across the U.S. is pretty surreal.
I’ve learned so much in such a short time, both professionally and personally, and I can’t wait to see where the next five years take me.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
Life is definitely full of tough choices. Growing up, I didn’t always have the best role models for handling difficult situations, which led to behaviors I’m not necessarily proud of. But as I got older, I became more aware of how much our words and actions impact not just ourselves but also those around us—especially in the long run.
Experiencing personal loss was a turning point for me. It made me more intentional about how I approach challenges and the energy I give to them. I’ve learned to pause, take a breath, and consider all perspectives before reacting—because my first instinct isn’t always the best one.
Looking back at everything I’ve overcome, I try to approach life’s tough moments with open-mindedness and kindness. We never truly know what someone else is going through, and even when we do, we have to recognize our own limits in how much we can help. At one point, I had a habit of trying to be Superwoman—solving every problem, making everyone happy—because if I didn’t, I felt like I wasn’t doing enough. But the reality is, life is going to keep “lifen.” Now, I remind myself to approach every situation with kindness, openness, and the understanding that I can’t control everything—but I can control how I respond.
