Daily Inspiration: Meet Patricia Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Moore

Hi Patricia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi, I’m Patricia, but everyone calls me Patty. My journey from a hairdresser to a content creator has been fueled by passion, creativity, and determination.
I grew up in Cambridge, MA, just outside of Boston. My fascination with beauty started early, inspired by my mom, a fashion major. As a child, I loved experimenting with hair, makeup, and fashion, which naturally led me to pursue a career in cosmetology right after high school.
After I completed cosmetology school, I started working at a prestigious salon where I met my mentor who became my best friend. Her belief in my abilities was instrumental in my development as a hairdresser. This mentorship gave me the confidence to eventually open my own salon, which remains one of my proudest achievements.
A few years into running my salon, I felt a new wave of creativity. I began creating content focused on beauty and fashion, which opened up exciting new opportunities. During this time, I met my now-husband, who supported me through my transition from salon owner to full-time content creator.
My journey from a beauty enthusiast to a content creator has been marked by growth and creativity. I’m grateful for every experience that has brought me here and excited about the future.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The transition has been challenging, primarily due to fear. I worried about losing my identity as a business owner and how others would perceive my new path. Questions like, “What would people think?” and “Am I being cringe?” haunted me. However, I’ve learned that my worth isn’t tied to owning a business but to my passion and creativity. Embracing this new chapter has been both liberating and rewarding.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work focuses on sharing makeup tips, tricks, and looks for the everyday girl. I’m not a professional makeup artist, but I love making makeup realistic and easy to achieve. I also specialize in wearable, affordable fashion. What sets me apart is my commitment to practicality and accessibility, making beauty and fashion simple and attainable for everyone.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
For me, risk-taking is about not caring what people think and showing up for yourself. It means having the courage to pursue your passions and make bold moves, even when they’re outside your comfort zone. It’s about believing in yourself and your journey, regardless of others’ opinions.
