Today we’d like to introduce you to Roberto Ixtzul Perez
Hi Roberto Ixtzul, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The reason I am here today, may have been a result of a very common scenario where the need to survive and overcome whatever situation or obstacle that needed to be conquered at the time of making a decision from the head of household and the support and in more than a few ways, encouragement and conviction that was implanted to the man who took the decision to move his family to the U.S.A. on summer of 1996, and relocated two boys, 9 and 13 years of age along w/ the backbone of the family and delicious cook, Hilda Miranda Perez and Roberto Perez Sr.
– We have a historical past in the USA my father being from L.A- born in the late 50’s and he served in the US NAVY-he married my mother from Mexico City in the 80’s and there I was in the early 80’s born in CD Mx Mexico,
in 1984. I later came to the US to finish Middle School then High School and later two years of College- to then finish at a trade school to achieve an Associates in Applied Science.
I Graduated from Plano East Senior High- and became an early workforce in the kitchen of a Waffle House, back when I was 17 Yrs of age- I graduated early due to the work program and also I took some night school and summer school credits to get ahead. I also became a young adult at the age of 17, since I had my first born no long before turning 18yrs old.
I thankfully got into the Real Estate business by means of the Grandmother of my child who’s mother got me to work there as a summer job because they needed help w/ the Volume they had and work demand etc.
I was at the time programming ATM and POS machines; which paid me okay and allowed my son’s mother and I to live in a small one bedroom apartment w/ our now newborn baby boy.
I then later became fascinated by the work that was being done at the title company I did summer work for and was able to then ask for a full time job there at the same office w/ my son’s mother and her mother. 🙂
It wasn’t long before I wanted to move up in positions and had to find a different office to work at w/ the experience I had already gained from working there two summers and one full time year.
I later went down the same path and kept moving up the later in the Title and Escrow world- which allowed me to become a great name to my self and also to make a good brand to my name- Unico Title-Bilingual-
I am now located in Carrollton and I am here to help the Spanish Speaking Community to make any necessary title adjustment or close on their new home purchase and Also Help with the Settlement and Escrow of a Refinance transaction.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The main Struggles were the language barrier- and the cultural difference in the way we handle business and thought process of a legal business transaction
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We specialized in the handling of escrow and title, insurance and settlement of a Real Estate transaction. We are the impartial party to the contract and we are here to make certain that both parties obey what’s already been agreed upon on the sales contract and to also give the insurance to the buyer if they preferer of the title to the property by conducting a Depth title search for liens or taxes against the property in question.
How do you define success?
