Today we’d like to introduce you to Sky Monroe

Hi Sky, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started as a singer songwriter and as I developed more skill in the studio sessions I attended, I began to write and produce for other artists. Eventually, I formed my own music publishing and record label to self publish and help publish other artists songs. This lead me to landing a Publishing deal with Universal Music.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been an easy road as you know life has its plans but for the most part I’ve understood it’s part of the journey and it’s Ups and downs has helped me in my creative process. I believe that’s for anyone in any industry. However , I just always chose to use my struggles as fuel. The Entertainment Industry is a very saturated one, so you have to be wise about who you work with and how you choose to stand out. Outside of personal struggle, being a Female Music Producer has had its major challenges but it’s never stopped me from being in control of my career.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My name is Sky Monroe and I am a Music producer. I sing, write and produce my songs and for others aswell I am the most proud of my drive and ambition.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was traveling with my parents places like theme parks and recreational activities. Our parents always made time for quality time.
