Hi Spencer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
You know, I’ve always had this burning desire to create something meaningful, something that I could pour my heart, strength, and energy into, and finally, the opportunity came knocking. Sure, I might be on the younger side, but one thing you can count on is my unwavering dedication and a whole lot of motivation to make things happen.
But I didn’t do it alone! My amazing support crew, including my incredible wife and supportive in-laws, have been my rock from day one. They’re like my personal cheering squad, always there to root for me, especially when the phone won’t stop ringing and those long hours start adding up.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have definitely been moments when I’ve wondered if I could make this work, especially given my age and limited experience in certain areas. But you know what? Every time I’ve hit a bump in the road, something incredible has happened that’s shown me I’m on the right path.
I’ve had the chance to meet some truly amazing people, and there have been times when kind folks have stopped me in the parking lot to lend a hand. Those moments remind me why I keep pushing forward, no matter what challenges come my way.
When it comes to starting a new business, whether it’s in auto glass or any other field, it’s all about embracing risks – they keep things interesting, you know? If you’re not willing to take those leaps of faith, it’s hard to find success in life.
Now, my appetite for challenges probably goes back to my upbringing. Growing up, my family and I moved around quite a bit thanks to my dad’s service in the U.S. Air Force. That meant I had to quickly adapt to new places and make friends wherever we landed. It taught me resilience and flexibility.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
It really comes down to a couple of things that I believe have made Optic-Kleer Plano a success story. First and foremost, it’s my genuine care and connection with our customers and our community. As the owner, I want every customer to feel like they’re dealing with a friend. I mean, they even have my cell number for a direct line – how much more personal can you get, right?
We’re not just another run-of-the-mill company; we’re all about delivering top-notch service every time. I’m personally invested in our community, and seeing our customers hit the road safely with their auto glass in pristine condition is what keeps me going.
A couple of years back, I took big leap and moved to Texas, and I have to say, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I absolutely love it here, and the opportunities have been fantastic.
But none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my amazing wife. She’s been by my side through all the ups and downs, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her.
What makes you happy?
I’m at my absolute best when I’m hanging out with my wife and hustling at work! You know, keeping myself occupied, having a chat with folks, and fixing up cars, that’s what really puts a smile on my face.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling when I finish up a car job and hand back those keys, and the customer tells me how much they liked the work and how well I treated them. That right there? It’s what makes my day awesome.
