Daily Inspiration: Meet Stacy Hampel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Hampel.

Hi Stacy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story starts when I was a Junior in High School. My brother was getting his Senior pictures taken out at Michigan International Speedway and I was tagging along, because, why not! I was born and raised around racing in Michigan. It’s safe to say it’s always been a passion of mine. After a conversation with the Public Relations Specialist, I knew exactly what I wanted to do in life. I wanted to work in Advertising with NASCAR.

I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s in Advertising and quickly made a move to Texas where I was employed with Texas Motor Speedway. I absolutely loved the variation in my day. Eventually seeking more, I began working at different advertising agencies eventually landing as a Director of Marketing for Guinco Service, a family-owned and operated home appliance repair company based in Fort Worth, TX.

I’ve always loved helping people and learning about the uniqueness of everyone’s life stories. I was previously a server and bartender which was always perfect for learning more about people. Growing up I was also a part of several nonprofit organizations. I love being around people, but most importantly, I love to help people.

After much thought, I wanted to add Realtor® to my resume. While still maintaining my Marketing career, I also have my real estate license. Going through the process both personally, and now professionally, I know exactly why I was called to obtain my license to help people find their dream home. There’s so much gratification in helping my clients secure a home.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My life experience has never been smooth sailing, although, I would never refer to it as bad luck. Every obstacle has been a learning opportunity.

College didn’t come easy for me. I didn’t get to enjoy the scene of being a college student as I was always studying or going back to my hometown to work. I took college seriously, mainly because I didn’t want to fail.

Moving to Texas was by far my biggest hurdle. Saying that it was hard to leave my family and venture out completely by myself would be an understatement. I worked hard – sometimes needing three jobs at once just to pay my bills. This doesn’t even factor in the emotional aspect of leaving my family and everything I knew behind. It was tough.

There have been a few employment changes throughout my career, but each one taught me something. I am thankful to be a part of my current role as Director of Marketing. I feel supported in my Real Estate career, not having to choose between the two.

Nothing worthwhile comes easy. I am a testament to that.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently, I am both a Director of Marketing and a Realtor®.

Being a Director of Marketing is always interesting, not one day is the same. I work on our website, search engine optimization, online reputation management, social media, advertising, photography, videography, and brand management. Oftentimes, I get to be a part of other projects that allow me to practice my versatility.

As a realtor®, I am my business. I have the ability and flexibility to market myself and my skills. I find that creativity flows naturally and I take great pride in my work. I am proud of myself for adding this skill and certification to my list of capabilities and for the courage I had to try something new!
