Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzanne Keoghan.
Hi Suzanne, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a co-owner of Renovations by Design LLC, along with my husband Glen, a company committed to restoring, remodeling, and designing homes in the DFW area, to enhance the lifestyle of those who live in them. My passion for real estate investment, great design, and quality renovations was the motivation behind creating this company and is the drive for each and every project.
I started my career in the tourism industry and worked in New Zealand, the UK, Canada, and Australia, after a while I decided to take a new direction. Following my passions, I studied design and later marketing and for the last 15 years, I’ve been designing spaces, renovating homes, and staging homes to sell. Some of these projects have been homes I’ve lived in, with my family, while others have been renovations to modernize and extract the home’s true potential. Since moving to the USA in early 2019, I’ve continued my love for design completing a number of projects in San Diego and have just completed a renovation in South Fort Worth, TX this month.
Moving to Keller TX in 2021, my family and I are enjoying the Texas lifestyle and have just finished my latest project. I believe that keeping up with international trends, using design to make the best possible use of available space, and being creative with budgets great and small, are some of the key fundamentals that drive their desire to create beautiful spaces. I love restoring homes to their full potential in full renovations, as well as staging homes to sell, to show buyers how a space can be used and enhance the home’s appeal.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been mostly ups in my career and I have loved the variety of holding marketing management roles in many different industries but one of the biggest challenges was not easily getting corporate marketing roles in San Diego but then that became an opportunity to follow my design passions and start Renovations by Design LLC.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a Design Director, in my company Renovations by Design LLC, my role is to use my design skills to redesign homes to enhance the lifestyle of those who live in the them. Our current model is to purchase homes, remodel, stage, and then sell the house. I am keen to expand our business by offering design consultancy and staging services to clients in the DFW area, either direct clients or real estate agents.
I am proud of the spaces we have created, using design skills, trends, and as a marketer, always keeping the target audience for the remodel, in the forefront of the project.
I think my experience working in various countries and design skills mixed with real estate investor, customer service, and marketing expertise, help me to understand the needs of the market or direct client. My passion to create beautiful spaces that maximize a buyer or client’s lifestyle is key!
What matters most to you? Why?
Listening to the needs of clients, solving a problem by remodeling a space or showing how a space can be used with staging, and having the buyer love their new home are the greatest rewards. Working with like-minded tradespeople and professionals who love what they do and are talented people who are proud of their work and or products and help us to achieve the best projects possible.
