Daily Inspiration: Meet Sydney Wells

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Sydney Wells again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Sydney, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Howdy!

I am Sydney Wells, Founder of She’s Old Fashioned (old fashioned syrup mix) and the creator behind https://sydney-wells.com/ the blog! We talk all things from travel, mental health, relationships, whiskey adventures, you name it. It’s a safe place to land during what feels like a very scary time to be online and on social media.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Life can be difficult at times, with that said, your choices make or break you. I was recently laid off from my new career and after a year and 8 months and I am thankful for the time spent with them to help heal me from a rough previous employer. Although this just happened less than 48 hours ago, I have already decided to take a jump start on what could be next by networking with who I know first. That is how I have spent my last 10 years being gainfully employed, is by knowing someone and networking. My philosophy is, you can’t outshine hard work and dedication. So, with this chapter of my life and where we are currently, my plan and strategy is to out work the competition going after jobs and applying like crazy. I’ve been here before and I am hopeful to land somewhere that I can be at with longevity.

I am excited for a new chapter this year. I am ready to see what is new out there in the world for me to grab ahold of! I am also excited for my blog to continue to grow and gain exposure as I continue my writing.

Alright, so let’s do something a bit more fast-paced and lighthearted. We call this our lightning round and we’ll ask you a few quick questions.

With the broad content created through the blog, we are wanting to invite new readers to our platform to engage and reach out to me with questions comments etc.

We speak a lot about mental health awareness and the ways we need help and sometimes the lack of help or how hard it is to get help.

We are always open to discuss one on one or in a forum, and I would love to open our format to guests and have collabs/guests/writers for the blog!
