Daily Inspiration: Meet Tailor Simpson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tailor Simpson.

Tailor Simpson

Hi Tailor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Tailor Simpson. Teacher, mom of two and entrepreneur.  When me and my two little brothers were kids we use to walk over to the “candy lady house” to get hot chips , pickles and candy.

I’ve never had the knowledge to run a business. I started my business during the pandemic, so I had a lot of time at home and that provided the opportunity for me to create fun snacks. I posted pictures of the items I created and had great feedback. Then I came up with “Tailor Made Just for You.” I’ve always had it in mind but the pandemic was my big push. Giving me time to reflect on my childhood and being able to bring this fun snack back is so fulfilling.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road; I learned a lot running a business. I had to find a way to balance my other dreams, motherhood, school and a 9-5 job. It got pretty overwhelming and I gave up a few times but I had to find my balance, check some goals off my list before starting something new. With all that being said, I have finished school & everything else is pretty much balanced now so I’m just more focused on promoting my business and taking it day by day. I am grateful for all of the struggles. I’ve learned that growing pains may be uncomfortable, but they are a necessary discomfort we much endure in order to reach our full potential.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
You all should know that I’m dedicated and take everything that I do serious. Every order is made with love and my work will only get better. Making Kool-Aid pickles seems easy and it overall is but the love that I personally put into making sure that they are the right taste just for you makes it challenging and gives me the passion to fulfill your cravings.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see my business inside of stores, concession stands, events and even all over the world in the next 5-10 years as I plan to start shipping items. I also plan to expand and have a food truck or even a modern day “candy lady house” .

Pricing:
