Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffanie Saxton.
Hi Tiffanie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a mortgage professional based in Dallas, Texas and I specialize in helping families, especially first-time homebuyers, navigate the home financing process with clarity, confidence, and education at the forefront. My background in P&C insurance and business development naturally led me into mortgage lending, where I realized I could make a real, lasting impact by helping people achieve homeownership and build generational wealth.
What sets me apart is my personalized, hands-on approach. I believe lending should never feel transactional, which is why I prioritize transparency, communication, and advocacy for my clients at every step of the journey. I take pride in being a trusted guide during one of the most important financial decisions of someone’s life.
In addition to serving homebuyers, I’m passionate about giving back to the real estate community through my Learn With Tiff educational series. Through these sessions, I help real estate professionals sharpen their branding, social media presence, and business strategies so they can grow sustainably and serve their clients at a higher level.
At the core of everything I do is service. Whether I’m coaching a buyer through financial obstacles or celebrating closing day milestones, my goal is always the same: to make homeownership feel attainable, empowering, and worth the journey.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges I face in today’s down market is competing against builder-affiliated lenders who offer large incentives to attract buyers. While those incentives can look appealing upfront, they often come with long-term consequences that aren’t always clearly explained to the buyer. In many cases, buyers are initially qualified using unimproved property taxes rather than the true, improved tax amount once the home is completed. This can result in a significantly higher monthly mortgage payment after closing.
Unfortunately, this creates confusion and payment shock for many homebuyers when their escrow adjusts, leading to unexpected affordability issues down the line. As an independent lender, my focus is on protecting my clients beyond the closing table, making sure they fully understand their true payment, long-term obligations, and overall financial picture. Even when it means competing with flashy incentives, I believe transparency and education are essential to helping buyers make informed, sustainable decisions that truly serve their best interests.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As I continue to grow my business as a thought leader in this space, I’m intentionally expanding my presence on social media and leaning into strategic video marketing. My goal is to break down complex mortgage concepts in a way that’s clear, relatable, and accessible for the everyday consumer. Education is at the core of everything I do, and video allows me to meet people where they are while helping them feel more confident and informed before they ever apply for a loan.
At the same time, I’m using my platform to build strong, value-driven relationships with potential referral partners who share the same commitment to transparency, service, and client advocacy. By consistently showing up, sharing real insight, and leading with education, I aim to create a trusted resource for both homebuyers and industry professionals alike.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Dallas is the diversity across the many suburbs that surround the metroplex. Each area brings its own personality, from the food scene and local events to the activities and community culture, which makes Dallas a dynamic and exciting place to live. With so many people continuing to move here, that diversity only continues to grow as new cultures, perspectives, and energy are added to the city.
Of course, the rapid growth does come with its challenges, including increased traffic and rising housing costs. That’s why one of my bigger passions is helping combat housing affordability. Through education, advocacy, and thoughtful lending strategies, I’m committed to helping buyers understand their options and make informed decisions so homeownership in Dallas can remain attainable for the people who want to put down roots here.
