Hi Tina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I had no interest in the beauty industry whatsoever, but I’ve always been into tattoos and creative drawing. One day I had the opportunity to get my eyebrows microbladed and it amazed me how awesome the transformation was. I just knew I had to learn and get in! It’s all been a dream from there…
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road; learning the ins and outs training learning the education takes time. Building clientele takes time, perfecting the art takes time. I was and am trying to do all of this while being a full-time mom and maintaining a full-time job. Balance and determination, and consistency is the hard part.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in permanent cosmetics, specifically brows those are my go-to, such as microblading, powder/ombré brows, and combo brows. I also have my own lash line, “Lashed To the T” These lashes are vegan and cruelty-free. I’m most proud of being able to make it this far and being a full-time mom, showing my kids that opportunity, learning, and growth is never-ending. I really take pride in everything I do!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
COVID-19 taught me a huge lesson; I was shut down unexpectedly due to a pandemic I was scared for my family as I only had a small savings. One of my biggest lessons is to invest and save!
