Daily Inspiration: Meet Trevor Scott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trevor Scott

Hi Trevor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Trevor Scott is a Texas-born graphic designer with a keen eye for the finest detail. Trevor graduated from Texas Christian University in 2022, where he discovered a passion for brand design and typography. He enjoys working with both startups and established businesses, where he enjoys challenges to experiment with new branding opportunities. Trevor also has experience designing, formatting, and marketing his very own typefaces for sale. As a conceptual thinker, Trevor strives to visualize ideas that connect viewers and encourage creativity. Trevor currently works as a freelance designer in Dallas, Texas.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Working as a freelance designer requires a balance of opportunistic thinking and willingness to work hard through challenges and low points. While I am fortunate to have been presented with many wonderful design opportunities, there are times when work is slow, projects last longer than expected, or certain projects require abundant hours to accomplish the task at hand. However, I enjoy embracing these aspects, which makes the struggles worth it in the end.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a brand designer, my specialty is creating brand identity systems for businesses across a variety of industries. This includes logo design, illustration, brand guideline creation, package design, website design, copywriting, and more. When I first started freelancing, I was only known for logo design. This has since evolved after working in the industry for a few years. I am most proud the TCU mural I designed in Fort Worth’s Sundance Square, which towers over 100ft tall in the bustling downtown area. This was a proud achievement, especially since I am a huge advocate for all things TCU. I would say my professionalism and quality of work sets me apart, as well as my willingness to work in a variety of industries and design styles.

What matters most to you? Why?
I am most interested in inspiring creativity. I have found that design is a great avenue to leave a lasting impact. I am inspired to create great work in hopes to add value to the businesses and communities I work with.
