Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty Hester. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Founded in 2019 by Ty Hester and Tatianna Tolliver, Optimist Studios is not your typical brand studio and creative agency. We go beyond conventional norms, viewing our clients not merely as patrons but as integral creative partners. Together, we meticulously craft unforgettable brand and campaign experiences through innovative thinking and unconventional concepts.
Our studio specializes in three key areas of brand collaboration with our clients, often immersing ourselves in 360 Brand Development, Full Cycle Campaign and Content Production, and fostering Long-term Consultancy Relationships.
In every project and client partnership, our overarching goal is to elevate brands by infusing them with fresh vitality and inspiration, breathing new life into strategic goals and ideas. Across all our endeavors, we bring a renewed sense of creativity, setting a fresh wind into the sails of brand storytelling.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely, the journey of launching and growing a business is far from a leisurely stroll in the park. It’s a dynamic expedition marked by both triumphs and challenges, collectively shaping and fortifying us over time.
Our unique approach to creativity and unwavering commitment to studio values have presented their own set of challenges, yet they’ve also been instrumental in teaching us a crucial lesson: the significance of discerning what constitutes an ideal partnership.
The reality is that our services and partnerships embody a distinctive process and perspective. Recognizing that how and what we offer may not universally meet everyone’s needs goes beyond mere acknowledgment; it stands as a valuable insight. Understanding that our offerings may not be a perfect fit for everyone empowers us to align with clients who share our vision, laying the groundwork for mutually beneficial and enduring creative endeavors.
This alone has been a lesson well learned which has been the ultimate game changes as we grow and expand further.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Optimist, we embody and prioritize creative innovation. A key manifestation of this dedication is our 360 creative development process. This intentionally shapes personalized brand experiences by seamlessly integrating design, imagery, and film and motion elements, ensuring they collectively weave into a cohesive and compelling brand narrative.
Many of our client partnerships and creative ventures center around brands seeking extensive storytelling and immersive e-commerce experiences. Driven by a passion for fashion, interiors, and personalized editorial projects, our work is deeply immersed in visual storytelling, specifically tailored to the creative industries. In recent years, we’ve observed a transformation as technology advances, extending the value of our storytelling and personalized brand work beyond the boundaries of the creative industry.
Embracing daily challenges, we enjoy partnering with unexpected brands and industries aiming for innovation and uniqueness. This has led to exciting partnerships and creative collaborations in unexpected sectors, bringing forth a wealth of cool projects and experiences.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
As I kid, I remember thinking differently and always curating images, making moldboards, or aligning visual ideas in my head. At the time, many around me might have thought I was a little weird but later in life things became to make more sense.
Some of my favorite childhood memories have to be watching some of my favorite movies as a kid and mood boarding and curating my way into the storyline myself. I remember picking up on themes, color pallets, etc, and always wanting to redo my room to reflect my favorite movie or Disney character at the time.
Back then, it seemed odd; now looking back, it makes complete sense to have these tendencies and habits even as a child.
