Today we’d like to introduce you to Vinchi Thehippie
Hi Vinchi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Vinchithehippie is an American artist hailing from a low-income household in Fort Worth, TX. His journey into music began at the age of 5 when his father played classic Tupac jams, sparking a love for rhythm and words. By 7, he was writing his own music, and by 8, he recorded his first track. Known as the “trouble kid” in school and “Mouton’s Little Brother That Could Rap” on the streets, Vinchithehippie quickly gained attention. At 12, he became part of the group *S.M.E. Gang*, creating a stir with their party and twerk anthems, but internal tensions led to the group’s dissolution. Undeterred, Vinchi teamed up with his brothers @Alexthehippie & JuJu HL to form *MGM RECORDS / MGM EMPIRE*, a new collective that set the city ablaze with even greater energy than before. After a year of explosive growth, Vinchithehippie decided to go solo, marking a pivotal moment in his career. With over 103k plays across all platforms from features and solo releases, plus a social media following of 14k+ on Twitter and Instagram, his buzz continues to grow each day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I started off as a videographer , the hardest thing was making enough money to fund my music , but the biggest part was finding and building the genuine connects.
