Diana, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me really depends on the day, but it usually starts with either going to a workout class or having a slower morning with coffee before diving into work. I’ll review charts, emails, and texts, and then create a to-do list to keep myself on track. Some days are packed with back-to-back client sessions, with just a break or two in between. Afterward, I make sure to finish up notes, reschedule clients, and check in with my team. To wrap up the day, I usually take my dog for a walk or go for a run to decompress. It may sound pretty routine, but it’s a rhythm that keeps me grounded.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Sure! So as you know my name is Diana Beltran and I am an Arkansas native and the founder of Happy Autumn Centro de Empowerment, PLLC, a virtual mental health practice serving clients in Arkansas and Texas. I’m deeply committed to empowering the Hispanic community by providing specialized care for anxiety, OCD, and trauma, with a special focus on supporting first-generation Latinas.

At Happy Autumn, my mission is to deliver culturally responsive mental health services that help individuals restore their well-being and thrive. Along with providing therapy, I also conduct immigration evaluations and offer clinical supervision to LMSWs, supporting the growth of future mental health professionals.
In 2024, Happy Autumn Centro de Empowerment was recognized as the Best Mental Health Clinic in DFW for its positive impact.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My fiancé has been my biggest cheerleader from the very beginning. When I would share my dreams of building my own practice and making services more accessible, he was the one who reminded me it was possible. He not only encouraged me but also helped with research, kept me grounded, and pushed me to stay focused. I’m so excited that come November, I’ll officially have him as a permanent part of my team and my life.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most has been the fear of failing, fueled by my anxiety. It often feels like a constant tug-of-war between me and my own thoughts, pushing forward while also second-guessing myself. Learning to work through that fear has been one of my biggest challenges, but also one of the most important parts of my growth.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I really hold onto is familismo, that sense of connection, loyalty, and responsibility to family. For me, family isn’t just the people you’re related to, but also the community around you and the way we show up for each other. It naturally carries into how I live and work.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I find a lot of peace in being around people who genuinely want to see me succeed and celebrate milestones together. I love cheering on my friends, whether it’s running 5 miles without stopping or getting a raise at work, it all deserves to be celebrated.
