We recently had the chance to connect with D’Juana Ziegler and have shared our conversation below.
D’Juana, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are all about grounding myself. I start with a mind dump—either through voice notes or journaling—where I release every thought on my mind. This helps clear space for clarity. I then spend about 20 minutes in meditation to quiet my thoughts, followed by prayer and completing a Bible plan on the YouVersion app. It’s my way of aligning mentally, spiritually, and emotionally before diving into the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m the founder of Prestige Professional Services, a marketing agency helping bold brands show up with strategy, style, and substance. From branding development and social media management to campaign management, we blend data and creativity to turn vision into impact. We believe in building with intention and showing up like you mean it.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was carefree, fearless, curious, and unafraid to take risks. I moved with boldness and possibility, untouched by expectations or limitations. Prestige brings me back to that version of myself. It’s not just a business; it’s a space where I’m free to create, express, and lead with authenticity.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I almost gave up yesterday, what do you mean? Not figuratively —LITERALLY! This journey of building something from the ground up, especially when you’re carrying vision, purpose, and responsibility, can feel heavy. There are days when the doubt is louder than the clarity. When the bank account doesn’t match the impact. When the silence after posting feels like failure. But every time I hit that wall, I remember why I started— and more importantly, who I’m becoming. Prestige wasn’t just born out of creativity; it was born out of grit. And I’m not done yet.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. The public version of me is the real me, you just get the version you need. If you need a wise best friend, I’ll share my testimony. If you need a little tough love, I’ll show up as your no-nonsense guide. And if you need a hype man? Like Usher said, I’ll be your groupie, baby. My emotions are my superpower. My ability to read the room and truly understand people allows me to show up as who and what they need, without ever losing who I am.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What false labels are you still carrying?
Imposter syndrome.
Despite my experience, creativity, and the results I’ve delivered, there are still moments when I question if I’m “qualified enough” to take up space. It’s a false label I’m actively unlearning, because the truth is, I’ve earned my seat, and my presence doesn’t need permission.
