Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Arnold.
Jasmine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story begins in Dallas, Texas more specifically Lewisville. Growing up I always had a love for sports and competing. That’s when I was introduced to cheerleading! Little did I know it would change my life forever. I started cheering for Lewisville little league team moving on to Lewisville high school cheer!
While in high school, I was selected to be captain my senior year. Right then and there I knew I had something going. I told myself, I wanted to be the best and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me. The focus and drive I had pushed me to make Select All-Star cheerleading at Cougar Cheer & Dance Company and Cheer Athletics. Which are some of top Select Cheer Gyms.
I continued cheering after high school, attending Navarro College and Texas Tech University. Which are the top cheer schools in the nation. In 2011, I was selected for the team USA All-Girl and won. After graduating from Texas Tech University, I didn’t pursue a career in what I majored in but chose a career I loved and had a passion for. Even though I was done personally cheering in 2012, I still wanted to teach my craft to others. That’s when I got the opportunity to coach the University of Houston cheer team. This was a great experience for me! You learn a lot being on the other side. This team challenged me each and every day. I saw a lot of myself in them which made me work even harder to help them achieve their goals and aspirations to be the best!
After coaching the University of Houston cheer team, I felt compelled to share my passion of cheer even more. I started coaching Junior High Schools, High Schools, companies, and even one on one coaching. I’m not the coach that just sits around and tells athletes what to do. I get out there and show them how it’s done! One day someone asked me why don’t you cheer anymore? So I asked myself, why not?
Fast forward, it’s 2018 and I get an opportunity to cheer again but it’s for the Houston Rockets. With great anticipation I made the team! That season I was selected MVP for one of our performance games. Later on being chosen to cheer at the NBA All-Star game in Charlotte, N.C.
All in all, I can say from my experiences up until now have really molded me to be fearless, hardworking, educated, and resilient. My story carries on and continues today with my very own cheerleading company.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course it hasn’t been a smooth road, but with hardship comes growth. When I started my company it was just an idea. I saved up money but my finances were in no way shape or form to drop everything and start my very own cheer company. I prayed about it and prayed even more about it. I came to a conclusion you have to take a leap of faith and just go for it. So I did, now I have End Zone Spirit L.L.C. Looking back it was the best decision I could have made. It means so much to have something you can call yours. Especially something that you invest so much time, money, and love to.
Since opening my company, I’ve been able to grow exponentially. New clients, school teams, and companies then adversity struck. 2020 has been a year, for not only me but a lot of new business owners. I had to downsize my clinics and camps due to Covid, which hurt me financially but I wasn’t going to give up. Even though my days will be longer, my days aren’t bigger than my dreams. That’s what drives me to wake up every day!

End Zone Spirit is based out of Houston, TX and offers School Cheer Training for all cheer fundamentals, competition routines, pep rallies and home private lessons. Also, educating with the fundamentals of cheerleading, such as cheering, spiriting, motion placement, tumbling, jumping, and stunting. But more importantly, End Zone Spirit teaches leadership skills, motor skills, team bonding, work ethic, and so much more!
End Zone Spirit is known for helping athletes of all ages prepare for school cheer and All-Star cheerleading. I have a 98% success rate for athletes that have worked with me in making their cheer team. End Zone Spirit is a mobile cheer company, which provides tumble equipment such as, inflatable tumble tracks, inflatable barrels, panel mats, cheese mats, and various training equipment. I am most proud that my brand teaches athletes self-discipline, positive thinking, and perseverance that will help them with cheerleading and their everyday life.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
You will have people come in and out of your life overtime. Some of those people will take from your life, such as time, money, happiness, growth, positivity and blessings. Some people will give you love, compassion, advice, success, meaning, and friendships. You have to take people for face value. There is a saying, if it walks like a duck, quack likes a duck, has feathers like a duck, then it’s a duck! Surround yourself with like-minded people as yourself to achieve success in life.
