Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Since a young age, I have been interested in DIY projects in my childhood home. As a family we would make headboards, themed mural painted rooms, and repaint our bikes every summer. Those projects gave me much joy and stimulated my creative side.
In 2024, I was looking to propose to my now fiancé, and as such I started looking for ways to support the life I wanted to build with her and the family we would create. One evening in April 2024, I was scrolling on TikTok and saw a video tutorial on how someone refinished a beautiful dresser. I immediately went into a rabbit hole looking up any and everything I could find about how to start refinishing furniture and how to create beautiful designs that people would love. Since then I have found a fondness for adding new life to furniture through different colors, designs, patterns, stains, pulls, etc. which brought me to where I am today, having completed over 50 projects. Each has helped me learn and grow towards being a more creative being, adding new life to spaces.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was neither smooth nor challenging. I have gotten a lot of help from my fiancé, family and neighborhood around me, spanning from donating furniture and tools, to being given advice and manual labor when needed. My biggest struggle so far has been reaching out to a wider audience in order to get my brand more publicized. I have been spending time creating content on Instagram, TikTok and Nextdoor in an attempt to expand and connect with other professionals and businesses. Overall it has been an amazing growth process, feeding into my creative side and providing a stress relief.

The goal of Finished Touch is to refinish elegant statement pieces which adds life to rooms. I take pride in taking abandoned furniture and reviving the life in them. Pieces done by Finished Touch can be described as bold and subtle, with a huge focus on minor details which enhances the finished product.
One thing to know is that I provide customized pieces to match what individuals are looking for. I can consult with you to find the design you are looking for and do my best to match the finished look. I am open to new challenges to match what designs are requested, with the most professional finish to ensure durability and elegance.
Finished Touch is set apart by not only providing professional and unique finishes, but also by hand picking unique pieces to match what customers are looking for. This starts with finding the style of furniture they are looking for and goes to any and all customizations requested. Nothing is overlooked or skipped in the process of refinishing any piece so customers will be happy with any long-lasting furniture they have added to their space.
The aspect of Finished Touch that I am most proud of is the turnover rate being under 2 weeks after receiving the piece. I understand the importance of furniture and how inconvenient it can be without somewhere to store your personal belongings and as such I aim to get pieces back in their space in a timely manner.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
This entire journey has been a huge learning process from developing patience, time management, people skills, and overall how to refinish furniture. The most important lesson I have learned in this journey is to take things one step at a time. Every step of the process is important and plays a vital role in the finished product. I also apply this to life; that every season is a step forward to something and cannot be skipped or else it will ruin the ending.
